| I think if Chester went MC would go as well but it won't happen. I don't think any of the coaches have any idea how to get out of this. Everybody knows we're too slow I can't see any speed from anywhere soon not while they're as unfit as they are now

| Same thing happened at H K R before he left most of the team injured do not know if we will get relegated, the rugby we are playing at present is very bad to the way all other S L clubs are playing. If we survive think the back up coaches and especially the medical advice he is getting needs a good clear out .But the main worry is the word IF

Although excuses (primarily injuries) cant be used again and again and there is no doubt thet, just like London (twice), we looked woefully underprepared or just plain soft on Saturday, there should be some leeway given to Chester.
I do agree that we look poorly set up at the moment.
With all of our first choice pivots/spine playing, we should be capable of way, way, better that is being shown by the side and I agree that some of this is down to either poor preparation/ coaching AND execution form too many of the matchday 13/17.
The real worrying aspect at the moment is that Trinity are playing the worst (most inconsistent) rugby in SL and with many of the bottom sides still having games against each other, the gap at the bottom is lightly to tighten still further and our games with KR and London are just huge.
If we lose both of them, I believe we will be facing the drop - it's scary.

| The Tom Toms are suggesting that Hull Kingston Rovers, London & Huddersfield have money to spend in order to strengthen for the relegation fight.
New players will bring extra skills, widen selection choices, create competition for places but, IMO after a long season, they infuse new energy into the group.
Will Trinity be able to follow suit?

I'm pretty sure those clubs will let people go too.
Just like the deals that have been done over past few weeks.

Maybe I’m being pedantic, I don’t know.
We started the season with a squad we were happy with then Horo expressed an interest to leave so we replaced a backrower for a backrower.
The proposed transfer deals involving our relegation rivals are a bit different in that they are strengthening where they’re weak in order to avoid relegation.
My question was, are we doing the same, have we got the capacity to buy in a couple of players to strengthen where we are weak. That’s not the same as replacing like for like

| I do believe that the player quality we have at our disposal at present is easily capable of keeping us up without the need to bring players so long as we can turn our effort and attitude around in the next game or so .I simply cannot see a player coming in and doing that without it been a team wide decision to pull together and play as a unit .Though I do find it quite alarming how we have been allowed to be dragged into the mire without so much as a fight ,I’m still sure the answer lies in house

OK I see what you mean.
I'd love to see fresh legs on the team but I assume we can't.
MCB is already over and above the planned budget and I think we'd have done it by now if we had the money.

| This is an overreaction, although I understand the panic.
The reality is that we have had one bad game. Had we won on Saturday, the slump would have been over and we'd be joint fifth, kept out of the play-off spots on points difference only. So, is our problem was just that the players didn't have the right focus after two days sightseeing in Perpignan?
My concern is that the players have had the soft focus too many times this season. London, twice. Too many awful first halves. Is there an issue with the players being too relaxed with their coach? Pauli Pauli is maybe an example of this. Goes to Salford and he plays well. Comes back to Wakey and it's back to fun-time Pauli, flapping at attackers.
What I do think, however, is that the players care too much about the club, and probably MC and Chester, to let it slide, because the second-half fightbacks this year show that they can do it when they put their minds to it. The absence of social media this week, compared to the usual, shows a refocus, and hopefully the players have resolved to do what Chester asks them to do. I know it's a coaches job to kick them up the jacksy, but Chester's success has been down to the opposite approach. I just think the players have let him down, because they thought life was okay, laughing and joking, play-offs always in sight. Well, they're not now.

Agree with that except the highlighted bit. I’d say we’ve only had one GOOD game in about two months, against a Huddersfield team on a worse run than us at the time. That is the most worrying thing.

I disagree, we have won 2 of the last 9 league games with the only team beaten being Huddersfield. Deeper analysis shows that the performances are mixed between average and very poor.
The next 3 games don’t offer much of a chance of picking up league points and if the current form continues our points difference will suffer greatly.
Confidence is a huge asset while lack of it will destroy the best teams. If we go 2 from 12 which is likely and take a couple of heavy scores against us then confidence will be shot. That doesn’t leave us in a very good place for the run in to the seasons end.

| I meant "one game" in the sense that the world would have felt a better place had we won on Saturday, because of where we would have been, and it is possible to see the Catalan game in isolation, due to the sightseeing element. "One game", in the sense that we would have seen everything differently.
Now, it's a bit more backs-to-the-wall, and we'll see what the players are made of, and the second-half fightbacks this year have shown some of this. The disappointments have been the rather unfocused approaches to the first halves. We switch off too often. Look at London in the first game. Early lead, job done, switch off. Catalan? Lovely sunshine. Sightseeing tours. Switch off.

Pointless discussing IF's though isn't it?
IF we'd beaten London twice then we'd be sitting pretty in the top 5
We've got more than enough quality to win enough of the remaining games to be free from relegation worries, just need the players to show it!!

And if London hadn't beaten us twice they'd be adrift. Was a stupid statement during commentary on Saturday and repeating it now doesn't make it any less so.

| Sorry to say it and I'm not one for knee jerk reactions but he's right. Any other team In the league tonight would have beaten that cas team, they were so poor it was unreal and yet they thrash us. I'm fed up of paying money to watch a group of blokes that canr be bothered and look like they have never seen a coach in there life. Chester has to go. We are absolutely clueless in every department, even the seasoned pros all of a sudden look like amateurs... Chester needs to go for God sake JD has come out and said he would love to have a head coached role in SL we should move heaven and earth to get him over here right now, maybe just maybe he might save us from the drop
