Correct...his feet were definitely in the air, so he wasn't in touch and that ball looked very close to the line

When you saw it only question was - was the ball on line - can’t believe ref didn’t go to screen

| Scrappy game but a wins a win. That puts the tin lid on survival, time for the rebuild to avoid being in the situation next year.

| The writing was on the wall for Yusif when we sent him to Leeds during a forward crisis at the club.
It’s a mistake to let him go after the development he’s gone through, he’s a 21 year old prop with 20+ SL games under his belt. The best of him is probably 3 years away but he won’t let anyone down in the meantime. As the game gets faster and interchanges fewer and fewer, a powerful prop with above average leg speed will be a huge asset.

| We should be after Warrington now.
I think they'll only have a chance of beating Cas. Won't beat Salford or Giants away.
We need to put pressure on by beating Robers who are struggling now.

It was short so the decision was correct but the reason it was disallowed was not because his feet was in the air.

| Quote ="vastman"Don't agree with that tbh. After 3 seasons where we have had a huge injury list I think we have just been average this season.
Yes we have a slimmer squad than some but enough to cover this season. True, some key players have been missing but IMHO not enough to call us injury hit, not this time.
FWIW I'd say that I'm disappointed that some of those who stepped up just didn't have it in them. Minns and to a lesser degree Croft didn't fill the gap left by Lyne. Lineham simply didn't offer an alternative for either Tom or Kershaw. All the same I honestly don't recall us putting out a team that on paper at least wasn't capable of competing and none that should have had 70 shipped past them.
We are still without those key players now but in the last four weeks we have seen a completely different team despite largely being the same players. That I think is whats made it a crap season to many, it's obviously always been there, so where did it disappear to for so long?'"
You might have a point… borderline… when viewed from all possible angles…
Those that have been injured have left a hole for some new fan faves to emerge… it will be interesting to see how that develops over the next few years…
I’m just pleased that our stand building 150 year anniversary will be in the top flight!
Sad to see Toulouse go … but we have to find a way to grow funding (as a sport) and grow the Superleague to 14 or 16 teams

| Shout out for Lee Kershaw, not seen any stats and he isn't the glam winger but I thought he was huge tonight taking the ball up out of our half all night long.

| Another good win, and just about safe.Watched the match on Sky and re Murphy's contentious disallowed early effort it was clearly not a try as he lost control of the ball.Think the scoreline massively flattered Hull.

| Wow. I am agreeing with SP! Yes, but that’s why Shaul will play fullback on Thursday though, Max may develop another role as half back back up if as expected, Miller departs.

Shaul has 5 years experience on Jowitt and some of that man management will develop. Jowitt was signalling players throughout the game fixing the line and for the most part did a solid job. Time for that to develop. Full backs tend to hit their best around late 20s early 30s. There’s plenty of time for Max to continue his growth.
Shaul is only here till the end of season. No need presently to start turning Jowitt into a prop forward.

I thought Shaul was off contract with Hull at the end of the year

| Another cracking performance, especially losing Whitbread so early in the game.
Was nervous about Hall in the 2nd row pre match but, the lad had another excellent game.
Murphy was superb again but, 1-17 we were excellent . Batty also got through loads of work and had his best game of the season.
Almost safe now and the Houdini act is almost done.
Hope we can kick on and get back to mid table "mediocrity" again, these escape acts, while exciting to watch, ate really no good for the ticker.
Well played boys !

Maybe so but as it stands he’s not at trinity in 2023 and Jowitt is. Who knows if that will change. I think we need to be very careful about our recruitment this year.

| It would be nice to know what the plans are for the league structure after 2023. Do we recruit for 2023 as a priority or can we look at the longer picture?

Have to plan for longer. There’s no other way otherwise we will put ourselves at a major disadvantage.

Well we know next seasons structure so its no good looking beyond that for now. Because whatever happens after that, i would think finishing nearer the top than the bottom would be the best outcome. No good looking too far ahead and neglecting the present.

Maybe, but one thing I do believe is that a stadium and infrastructure is far more important to an organisation like IMG than where you finish in the league.
My guess is at some point the SL will announce that at the end of 2023 all clubs will have to apply for a SL licence. I actually think that's the only fair way. Also allows Toulouse another shot and I reckon they would like that.
At which point our vastly improved stadium, modern hybrid pitch and floodlights and especially our hugely successful academy will trump most teams, most notably Cas and Salford. So again as long as we avoid rock bottom and Cas and Salford don't win the thing that puts us in a reasonable position.
I'm basing this on IMG being in control and not the clubs, in which case logic and long term thinking will prevail. If not then god knows.

Yup, that's what blew me away. He didn't look like a stop gap he looked like he could play there. Though hopefully not again or nor for a while once Tanginoa and co are back, I think we will agree on that.
