Come on, get real here. It's unfortunate for the lady in question but she is definitely the exception to the rule.

A local, walk up, partially sighted, elderly lady who for whatever reason cannot get round to an alternative entrance? Not gonna be many of them about, surely.

I think this issue has multiple problems.
The club has to balance an old ground that doesn't lend itself to segregation for numerous reasons and any complaints from the RFL and SL.
From the supporters POV no e of us really enjoy segregation but we are all aware of issues in our ground and when visiting away grounds. This is IMO not a RL problem but a social one but we are part of society and suffer from its least fragrant aspects as many others.
Without doubt the club has failed to get the message across - Davide has already pointed this out and is at least prepared to come on here and listen and try to answer supporters concerns.
In the two seasons since the change of ownership we have mostly seen great benefits at BV so for fans to walk away over such an issue baring in mind we all hope to be taking up new seating or standing positions at NM in the near future is childish (and that isn't a dig at anyone as I was just as peeved as anyone on Monday, just a shot of realism) after all we've been through as supporters of this club.
Sadly sport seems to be heading towards a more segregated future and I lament this change.
Hopefully the club will try harder to make sure communication with the supporters (remember without us there is no club) and as displayed on this thread there are people at the club who are dedicated and if you can get hold of them they will try their best to do what they can to make things better where they can for us all.

But that isn't the point. For a club official to turn round and effectively tough luck off you go is not the right way to go about it.

Strange how there was never a problem until the Cas game last year which was caused by some very ill-advised marketing. Maybe the amount of beer sold, or more specifically brought in from outside, should be tempered first rather than getting plenty of peoples backs up.

Like I said, I'm not suggesting the club were wrong to segregate. I'm just saying MY matchday experience is lessened by not being able to stand where I usually stand. That is my own personal view and you can't say I'm wrong. You are asking people to pay £20, and if people don't like it as much as they used to because their view isn't as good and are not surrounded by their usual crowd, some will vote with their feet. Most won't, and with Newmarket close by, it's a short term thing anyway.

It's not a deal breaker for me, just a shame.

I prefer the segregation it's got us Trin fans all stood together and most of all it been done on police and RFL advice. It's only hopefully for 1 more season until we move to Newmarket. Well done to the club on acting on this.

and for a club official to be sat on my computer at 21.57 whilst on my holiday addressing issues suggests that i do care. The gentleman in question can contact me personally and I will assist him with the issue. I am not going to argue with the gentleman because of his disability, we have community action groups that could help him.

Davide is certainly taking the flack on here, but out of 8000 fans, we have half a dozen, with all respect, stamping their feet.

I think the experience is massively improved with having the North Stand for home fans only.

If its true that Wakefield fans are attacking other supporters, throwing missiles and being generally abusive, I don't want to stand with them.

You have to taken into account Davide that matchday is very much about routine, often established over many years. Hell, I get twitchy if I can't park my car in my usual spot. Once the match starts, I forget about the western terrace, and I'm happy with it if we are attacking the North Stand.

That's completely disingenuous to the many thousands of trinity fans that don't visit this website.

It's complete nonsense, not only should we be rooting out those bad apples, but we shouldn't sleepwalk towards segregation in rugby league. If Mr Longo and Mr Elston can't even communicate between themselves as to what's happening on match days as described by an earlier, they're hardly qualified to make the right calls on this kind of issue. Both are relics of the old regime, and neither are covering themselves in glory on this.

Some will no doubt point out that Davide is fronting up on the phone to anyone and everyone, but that's too late, it's after the event and it's not a two way conversation it's this is what's happening so get used to it. That's not dialogue.

By the way, I would suggest that BV is about the last ground to segregate fans...have you been to any away games????

I've yet to see anyone at Belle Vue from Key Security that doesn't "mouth breath", so if you'll forgive me for stating the obvious they're there to make money so they'll recommend what's easiest and most profitable for them.

we don't want any fans to leave the club but equally we can't run the risk of a 20K fine by the RFL

I qualified my remarks by saying anyone with a complaint would have contacted the club.
