Why would crigg want to avoid cas. Tbh I couldn't care less if we met in the semis and I'm sure players from both teams would feel the same given that many of them are pretty good mates.its u13s rugby not a shoot out at firtst dawn.

For what it's worth I feel the three best teams from group 1 and the best from group 2 have made the last 4 and regardless of the draw it will see two good ties.

Anybody know when the draw is for the semi's??

To be honest I would of liked in 1 way cas for the rival thing but having seen all 3 teams play this if it was a merit issue then I would have to say IMHO both huslet and easts have a bigger threat .
And this is good as panthers came within a whisker of beating crigg last time out so maybe its the reputaion at times that is wins the games or more likley to be criggs head coach who IMHO is just superb and im not name dropping but its eaeasy to see why hes worked with greats and made SL names .

I have been blessed that both my boys have had great coaching everytime wherever and whomever without exception. Im also blessed where they are now.

Another win for panthers u13s winning the cas derby 28-16 with a very strong second half performance in a game which was played very hard but fair.!!

Spartans U14s won a tough battle with Dewsbury Moor this morning

The heat was quite oppressive but both sides played hard fast open Rugby League, the Spartans defence was the key factor and saw them race to a 32 - 6 lead. A late consolation try for Dewsbury gave a final score of:

Shaw Cross 11s came up against a keighley side with lots of spirt and grit but they couldnt match the roll the sharks got on final score 64-0 only 4 missed kicks .

Crigg so im told were in a battle for so long then the all blacks took charge. 42-10.
Dont want to go into the bile that was coming out from some grown ups but heres one fact.
Crigg do not and never will poach players .

Panthers 13s crashed out of the cup with a 24-40 loss to east Leeds,a poor start and the loss of a couple of key players proved costly although in fairness we never got to grips with their forwards, but the lads stuck to their guns to score 5 good tries.

Magnificent 1st half of open rugby by Spartans brought them 3 try's, then a brutal defensive display kept the previously unbeaten league leaders from getting a foothold in the game.

Bit of biff near the end but otherwise just a tough encounter between two good teams

Stanley Rangers u15s won today 28-6 beating East Leeds, all the points was scored in the first half,
second just ended up in a battle we did get over the line but was deemed to be held up, shame as I thought and my lad claimed it was grounded

there was some nasty head high tackling going on and one cheap shot with the knee to one of our players, I hope his jaw is ok. where's the basics gone from our game

Spartans travel to Kellingley Wellfare on Sunday, kick Off 11:30

The last match between the two was the epitome of a game of two halves with Spartans scoring five 1st half tries and two conversions to lead 24 - 0 before finding themselves down 24 - 26 with just 2 minutes left on the clock. An inspired play from Spartans brought the victory in the last play of the game, 30 - 26.

If this Sundays game is half as entertaining it'll be a real cracker.

Yesterday saw Castleford Academy Y7 Boys reach Wembley with an exceptional performance against a Huge De La Salle side.

Along this journey they have had to beat the best Sirius( Hull ) Welsh champions Cwm Rhymni and yesterday North West Champions De La Salle whom they beat 22 - 0

Best of luck goes to Both Cas and Royal Grammar ( London ) who won their semi 52 - 16

Panthers 13s beat stanningley 32-12. Not a pretty game by any stretch and the result was probably more of how poor stanningley were than how good we were,however you must be doing something right when you can play average and win comfortably against a side we've struggled with over the years.!!
