We were in it against Catalans until last minute too.

We were a drop goal away from beating Salford.

Cas have done well sometimes and badly other times.
It's all about the Thursday. Form isn't really a thing in this case.

Yep you are the proof of people seeing what they want to see. Against Catalans we were 14 points behind going into the last ten minutes and still two scores behind going into the last minute, if that counts as in it to you then fair enough, many people will see that one differently. We've managed three tries in six games since. Three. It's embarrassing. And we gave it a good go against Salford which shows the spirit is there which is good to see and gives hope. Sadly one of our best that day is now in Hull KR colours but there you go.

And yes it's now all about Thursday and we are capable of winning it as Cas are hardly world beaters but to to say form doesn't matter is just wrong. A quarter of the season is gone, the players confidence is on the floor and the anxiety is building. That matters.

I'm not writing us off yet as i hope changes will be made to rectify the situation but the realism is we are in deep trouble. I keep seeing quotes from some of our fams that super league is tough this year as there's no weak team. Well i'd disagree, there is. It's us. Seven tries in sevens games tells its own story.

This. And No amount of saying “Up the Trin” is going to mask that.

Of course we are in trouble and of course we are weak.
But so are Cas.

They don't have form to speak of. They certainly haven't put two good performances together in a row.

It will come down to mental toughness this week. They'll probably come on with more confidence unless our returning 'stars' put it together.

Usually Cas is the only away game that I go to these days. However, reluctantly, I'll be giving it a miss this year. Quite a difference to the euphoria of that great game last season, which kick started our great escape act.

Have seen us relegated about 6 times, including a 2nd consecutive season in Div 2 when we ended up 11th, so nothing new really. I'll be there as long as there's a club.

Cas have actually won a game. Which means they have better form than us. Plus they are at home. Plus they have scored more tries than us, which isn't difficult. They will be bookies favourite and unless we suddenly develop some John Kear 06 fight, we will lose again.

What would really priss me off is we go down is that we were in touching distance of getting ground improvements and that may have helped us turn the corner next season and maybe got the club moving upwards towards better things. We will get a new stand but in the championship things will become far harder to grow the club.

However the bit that could really hurt will be Fev taking our place, that will really hurt. Especially if they stay there a while and look down on us struggling in the championship.

I have no doubt if we went down we would be the strongest team in the championship and probably have the biggest budget or one of. It wouldnt be the end at all.

You forget we lose the Sky money, lower supporter revenue and will have to pay for the loan on the ground. I wonder if they would reduce season ticket and admittance prices to reflect our new status. We apparently have no money now so why should that improve in the Championship. I doubt we would run with a full time squad unless we receive outside financing but based on the success in this field over the last ten years whilst in SL this also appears unlikely.
The Championship would be a disaster and almost certainly mean starting again trying to sign players. I suppose it could be argued that we started this season with mainly a Championship squad and are continuing to add to this.

The problem for me is when we go down ,is we are a championship team now and not a good one. We need to rebuild big time but we are a team of old player's now so we got to get rid Plus I have no faith in these coaches to be up to the job

The way I see the Featherstone situation at the moment is this, Mark Campbell has put a great deal of his own money into his club, but recently has indicated that the Featherstone public are supporting enough and he’s fed up of propping up the club. If Featherstone don’t gain promotion this season, and the normal route to promotion is no longer there, will Campbell finally see his funding as a lost cause? They will score criteria points on some things, but few points on others. Without traditional P&R, there is no credible way of a guarantee to promotion, because I, like many others feel the IMG criteria is open to interpretation to suit certain clubs.

If Fev do take our place, will not care one bit ,as do not watch S L on T V .Got mates who have watch Dewsbury, and Keighley for a very long time and they say they just support there team and S L is overrated ,and just for teams with rich people in charge ..,and a more even game
