Dislike with a passion is fine with me on a matchday scenario. However certainly since SL Leeds have been the least of our problems. On field we do ok against them and off field I’d almost call them a friend.
In the last 20 years two clubs have gone out of there way to use and abuse us, Cas and especially Hudds.
Cas in terms of pinching players but mainly in attempting to block us where ground development was concerned. Though in recent years thy have become less relevant.
Hudds have just been plain despicable, plundering our club with the blatant opportunism that would make Blackbeard wince. A truly awful club with a fair few awfull fans.
Stuff Leeds, we are not in their class as a club. But we can target both Cas and Hudds and I would love that as I dislike Cas and I despise the Huddersfield club of the current era.
Chose your enemies and battles wisely.

There is a difference between what we buy ,and the big clubs. Wigan spent 400,000 on a player to stop them going down ,when Cas played Wakefield in the first Million pound game .M L turned round and said you do not know how to bend the rules .as they had spent way over the cap .The next year S L clubs voted on a 12 point reduction to any team that broke the rules ,but Wigan got it down to 2 points be saying the rule does not apply till the year after

| Fair play to Leeds, can't knock them this season with the form they were in to now find themselves in the Grand Final is some achievement.

| Well, you have to say that their defence was superb last night and that their new coach has done a stunning job to turn them into a GF side.
However, it's Leeds that we are talking about here and I will be supporting their opponents

I’m interested as to why you admire Salford?
If you mean this years team then fair enough, but as a club Jesus wept.
They are an utter drag on the game.
No academy of any sort.
A ground they are only tenants and tenants who have not paid any rent in years. Should the landlord actually start demanding payment they will go pop in 24 hours.
Worst of all is that this years team has been assembled on the never never. There is no way they can afford that team let alone sustain it.
Now the bills need paying watch that team disperse with indecent haste.
It certainly not the way I want our club run, that’s how we got where we were under Glover.
FWIW, the only clubs I admire in how they are run are
Leeds
Saints
Warrington
Wigan to a lesser degree
and Trinity.
The rest are living off loans and hand outs.

| That's for your advice but I will not be acting on it.
Salford have competed over the last 2 or 3 seasons and have introduced some exceptional players to SL picked out of thin air.
Personally I don't care about their finances but agree on the academy.
Your attempt as usual to turn things in to something more is baffling.
Ilet me add that I have quite often criticised the club for its total lack of ambition but have never like you bind managers players or other fans.
I have never threatened to stay away or off the board,
We will never agree with how the clubs run so just accept it, it's not a big thing.

Come on Leeds it is then.

| Leeds always had a decent squad this year so not surprised they are where they are, if nothing else it re-emphasises Agar's lack of ability as a head coach

| I used to admire Saints for many years for their very open and fair style of play, and the way they moved the ball from wing to wing in the attack. However, my admiration soured in recent years when the likes of Wellens and creepy Wilkins became nothing but whingers, I've warmed to them more recently through the likes of Batchelor, Welsby and those evergreens Lomax and Roby. The club's recent comments about BV didn't do much to attract admirers around here though. I'll still be siding with them on the big day. I was at the 2011 final when Leeds played Saints and together with some Nearby Cas supporters shouted for St Helens all the way.

That's me with the Challenge Cup Final as I think it's an open event for all RL fans to enjoy.
Grand Final is just another two-club game IMHO. Only attended one, Bradford v Saints in 1998. That was to show off my Wakey shirt just after we got promotion in 1998.

I go back further for Challenge Cup.
My first was 73. I was on tv too.
Too young to remember it though.

| Couldn't go to the Wembley final against Hull as there was nobody to take me and only being 12, but went to Odsal with a schoolmate and his dad, found a half crown piece as I was going through the turnstile, thought all me birthdays had come at once when Nelly scored that try , till Boston put him out of the game

True but at least it's a start.
I hadn't discovered the Trin in 1979 and am too young for the sixties era, so I'm yet to know of such things.
Applegarth was right about the sixties being a long time ago, we desperately need a new history, I mean I'm 60 next year!

| My first Wembley was 1960 against Hull. The first time that I saw the late queen. Red hot day and the marching guardsmen in the band were fainting in the heat. Neil Fox's record points scoring Wembley. in a 38-5 win. I recall David Coleman, the BBC tv Grandstand sports programm epresenter, going around the edge of the pitch interviewing spectators and receiving a mass of verbal abuse from the crowd. I heard words I never knew existed.
