| Ideal opportunity to get some game time under their belts without added pressures , and would expect it to be a good run out for hull youngsters playing against some experienced opponents

| Be good to have some thoughts from attendees, thanks.
A little surprised at the scoreline, especially with the alleged relative strengths of the announced squads.

| Just watched this. Two try’s saving some serious egg on wakeys faces here.
The attack was shocking all game and we were bereft of any sort of fluid tracking plays.
Murphy was outstanding. If we haven’t offered this lad a long contract then we should be tomorrow morning. He can be as good as TJ with game time. Must have easily topped busts and metres.
Jowitt solid as a rock at the back and broke the line and scored from 60 out on sheer effort alone to win the game.
Bowes - lads got a huge engine on him. Tackled well and made some very good scoots and contributions.
Butler - was the best forward for trinity today.
Battye had a terrible game. Arona was just okay. I expected more from these against a young g hull set of forwards.
Walker couldn’t be further from a stand off. The kicking game was dreadful except for a couple of decent late bombs.
Tupou got through the game…..just. Limping badly second half and is unfortunately a long long way off.

| Sounds like a good game but ultimately a relatively strong reserve team struggled to beat a young Hull team. Not very encouraging when it comes to hopes for the improvement of the first team.

Pretty dull game tbh. Lack of movement from the trinity team looking quite disjointed until the last 10 minutes or so when we found some urgency and started moving the ball better and running harder. Hull couldn’t really cope that last 5-10 minutes.
The positives were Murphy, Bowes, Jowitt and Butler. They would all start for me next week vs hull.

So pretty much what we've seen for the last few years. We're better off the cuff, otherwise, sadly, we have no idea how to break a team down.

Haha, I thought that when watching us camped on their line and watching the stand off running it in on the 4th tackle twice in consecutive sets and looking lost on the last tackle.
As I said though there were a few shining lights in the game.

Sadly yes, we appear to lack the quality in pivotal positions to properly break teams down.

| Too many 1st teamers resulted in a 1st team performance really. 5 drives and a poor kick, for the majority of the game, then with 10 to go we decided to move the ball about and hey presto Murphy, Bowes and Jowitt pinched it. These three were the pick of the big boys.
Of the none 1st teamers I thought the No.12 had a good game and the lightweight lad who came on in the 2nd half and played inside Evans ran well. (Luppy will fill us in on the names).

| Pretty much same as watching the first team with the style of play and mistakes until the final ten minutes. Didn't like to see Bill receiving an injury that led him to leaving the field for the last five minutes. Great last minute try from Max who will hopefully be back in the first team squad next week. Trojan's judgement was just about right.

After breaking that tackle on half way he showed good acceleration and pace to beat all the Hull backs to the line.

| Watched Tupou walk off from the dug out with Arona at the end of the game and although he definitely had a lump on the front of his knee he was walking ok and his gait looked fine walking down the tunnel , hopefully it’s just a normal reaction post surgery and things settle down with more game time .

I’m afraid Tupou knee was swollen with that lump early in the first half. Tupou did some decent drives but really struggled limping that last quarter. It’s early days but I think we are a long way off seeing the Tupou of old.

| Hull were very unlucky to lose that game, they were by far the better team throughout.
I agree with others that Murphy had a very good game - although as per usual for our wingers starved of possession and he had to work for the try, which was a belter. Seldom do Wakefield wingers get the walk in tries that the likes of Eden or Makinson score, they have to earn 'em.
Bowes and Jowitt, good games, and agree re Butler, he showed promise.
Overall though, half-backs poor with no creative play and, yeah a bit like watching the first team

Luke Mearns I think got called up to the Yorkshire team. He looked in a lot of pain that’s for sure. Looks to be built very much in the Chris Annakin mould.
