Just managed to decipher that last sentence.

We were favourites because the media chose to portray us as such and the rest of the RL community latched on; Cas had a vested interest in us being favourites, so some of your fans probably latched on a little more eagerly than most.

The fact remains - we got our licence on merit and if some people are to be believed, our application was significantly better than some of the clubs who were perceived as safe; no delusions of grandeur here, just renewed confidence about the coming licence period - for once, the future looks bright for WTW.

Well if you have earned your license, then surely by the same laws we must have earned ours too as we have have a C the same as you, unless of course you think the same as the populous that we should not have a license and should have been kicked out, and as for visions of grandeur from our fans feel free to highlight them, from where I am its the Cas fans what are suffering from visions of grandeur and being rather pretentious.

Probiz is a sponsor and the deal he struck at the beginning of the season was for the main shirt sponsor simple as that. If in the futute he decides he wants to up the level of sponsorship then great, but we have many other sponsors. Andrew Glover is your owner and quite within his rights to pump money in. The fact of the matter is you can only spend what is coming in from gate receipts/merchandise etc etc, so unless you get an extra 5000 people coming through the gate, it makes no difference what so ever to the salary cap.........

OK I will repeat it again...... jessssss. I am glad that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats PLC / Ltd / Holdings or whatever they are called these days, were awarded/earned a license for season 2012-2014. I don't think you right though by comparing Wakey's support in the 2008 semi to Tigers in 2011. We sold 6,100 tickets for Sunday.

The fact is that most of these are glory supporters and we had plenty of those in our semi final game. Fact is a few of those will not be seen at the Jungle or whatever you call it for many more years.

As you say, all teams have glory supporters. Tigers have an avarage amout of season ticket holders (so do Wakey) - granted, but the town (Castleford) gets an unbelievable buzz when we get to the big games. Some of the Cas folk who regularly sit in the clubs and pubs and in their armchairs watching Tigers on Sky make an effort to get to these games.

The difference is Castleford is a real RL town. A great number of people in Wakefield don't care for RL. Its in the stats.
