Definitely have. The very fact the paint on them would have been lead paint back in the day for a start but I can remember them being changed for lighter versions I think. I can't remember when.

I'm guessing that the posts required for an artificial pitch are different to those for a grass one, in that you can't just dig a hole but I might be wrong

The stadium car park looks too big for just car park/coach but I suppose it could be used for new fanzone merchandise food/drink etc

Looks can be very deceptive, players, staff, Visiting teams coach (that's bus type), disabled parking, hospitality guests, soon fills up

Concerns have been raised with regards to the proposed Fan Zone. Based on discussions during the course of the planning application, it is clear there is a misconception over what the proposed
fan zone would be. Rather than be an area where fans would congregate and pursue general rowdiness, it would be an area where families gather before games. It is a continuation of what has taken place at the club for many years previous. The objective is to promote the club to existing and new fans, notably those of a younger generation. The name of the fan zone is more akin to a ‘Family Fanzone’, and this has been reflected within the revised documentation. Much focus is made by the club to attract families to the stadium and the zone will be available for c1.5hrs before and after a game but no later than 20:00pm.
The activities are focused on low key interaction, such as meeting the club mascot, getting autographs from a player, face painting, club merchandise and small fairground type rides or stands. There are no requirements for a central PA system or stage area for live performances, although some music may be played from each concession, and this can be limited in decibel terms. Some food and beverage stands will be available, serving hot/cold food and drinks. There will be limited availability for alcohol to be purchased but this will be subject to licencing. The main bar within the stand will be open but would not allow for drinks to be taken outside.
The location of the fan zone is suitable, historic and the operation of the fan zone is capable of being controlled via planning conditions. We suggest conditions requiring the following:
• The closure of the Family Zone after 20:00pm;
• The provision of acoustic fencing to the rear of properties along Doncaster Road;
• The limiting of music and sound levels to a particular level;
• A restriction on PA systems and stages.

Thanks ds I’ve had some serious debates over the deal with yc I’m still not happy but moving on it looks like the new east stand will be a cracker, I would love it if the west terrace would match it maybe one day!!!

Regarding re furbishment of the North stand (and saving me scrolling through pages of planning) will there be a new roof or just new terracing and a slightly bigger concourse at the back for food and drinks?

The North Stand will be made one level at the top. The area saved will be turned into a full-width concourse. There will be bars and food outlets with proper area to queue.

The roof will be the same roof but again levelled to be one height. The back of the stand will also have a proper fence.
