I’m not into ref bashing as I thought overall he was ok but if we end up getting a hiding on set restarts again then it has to be questioned what are we doing wrong as a team and what are other teams doing right.

I thought ref was fine until mid second half when Leeds got 3/4 consecutive set restarts on 3 sets to really get them downfield. He’d all but not bothered for the 50 minutes prior.

We need to find a way to ensure there’s no repeat and be disciplined.

I’m utterly shocked Luiliea is playing though. Injured a player in a truly reckless challenge and it got swept under the carpet reading the disciplinary. Player fell over Leigh player. Watching the replays I’d say his shoulder made reckless contact with the lower leg. Accidental or not the player has a responsibility.

I can live with him giving against us when warrintedand they may of been can live with the forward pass and the ball steals too esp with it been a new rule my issue is with him not been consistent and pulling leeds and not giving us restarts as they wearnt perfect and messed about in the ruck to ie the topou and prior incident

Really don't like this ball steal rule,how is the ball handler to know when other players have dropped off whilst taking the ball in or trying to break out of a tackle.
As far as I'm concerned as soon as 2 players enter the tackle that should be that and no ball steal should be allowed.
We seem to be changing the rules again for the sake of it

While no fan of the rule it only seems our coaching staff has an issue adapting to it.

It would be interesting to know at what point are tacklers no longer involved AND when the tackle is deemed complete.
Having said that, Leeds look to have practiced dropping off the tackle to allow a steal and we certainly had not. They made more steals than any other side last week.
However, when there are still other players touching the player, surely they are still involved in the tackle.
Maybe the key is to hold one of the additional tacklers in, so that there are always 2.

This is point ... it’s all down again to interpretation and you will see many different views from different officials as the season goes . I personally don’t like it and couldnt see anything wrong with the rule as it was .

This is where the captains challenge should come into play. This would remove a bit more pressure from the refs.

Please no the game doesnt need it it’s just a pointless gimmick imo, just accept refs get decisions wrong sometimes and dimwits like some of the pundits on TV don’t know their Head from their arris

They have a production line of players busting a gut to impress!

I think this will be the big test of our pack and if we have got it right in the off season, Arona, Fifita, green have all lost a lot of weight I am guessing with the mobility in mind of the ruck speed, six again but with that can come loss of impact, loss of strength.

Wigans pack were single handledy steam rolled by Adam Sidlow who is nothing special at all, if Leigh had another decent prop to spell him with they would have won the game for me without a doubt, will be interesting to see how we go against them.
