If we go down as we seem destined to without some changes he goes for free anyway, so he either stays and we continue to have little to no influence from the key attacking position or we let him go and hope Dagger a natural 1 with a passing game can spark our attack.

It’s a desperate attempt at a fix but it’s a desperate situation.

How Hall develops as a player at Wakey, Hull KR or anywhere else for that matter has no influence on our survival in 2023 which without a fullback was drastically reduced.

It’s frustrating and disappointing but the only focus can be 2023 for Trinity at the current time and this deal indicates that is the way the club are thinking too.

Have to say I am shocked by this deal but not surprised when you look back at some of the rugby decisions that have been made.
Going right back to Chester's last year, have we signed anyone apart from Hall and Whitbread who made the squad equal or better.

One more player gone under the new coaching set up, think it is becoming clear what players think to the Coaching there getting . Good to no it is not just the fans who are peeved of . More or less left with players who could just about make a championship team if they did not want to retire And it could be a good place for the coaches to learn how to coach not in S L.They have no idea how fast S L is .We can not even through passes along the line at pace, in fact we can not do any thing at pace .If we had a team of youngster playing I could accept it .But not the garbage we are turning out at present

Jowitts a much better full back in all honesty. I actually rate Max, just seems to be injured a lot. Dagger fails to have the ability to unlock a defence, he’s just too lightweight for me. Plus he’s had his fair share of injuries. He will do a half decent job though, and he can fill in at half as well. I do hope he can prove me wrong, and wish nothing but the best for you guys. Out of interest, can Hall kick goals?

The problem is and so if what we survive this year( like that’s going to happen with this lot) then what?
If there’s no money for this year then where the hell is any money coming for next year to strengthen the squad again which now is decimated???

This is why I worry that we could fall straight through the championahip into C1. We're going to have few players and even less money, and if we can't rebuild quickly, we'll end up trying to chase from behind

Don’t know how anyone can defend this. We had a chance to sign Shaul in pre season and didn’t. Now we’re having to let our best centre to go to sign one! And one whose championship standard.

Agree! Could have been avoided if we had persisted with Jamie Shaul last season.

why wouldn't we role the dice we have not won a game and to be honest corey hall has not set the world on fire at all for me- we desperateky need a full back and this has cost us next to no money -if it gets us to beat cas next week then i for one will hold judgement

We've scored 43 points in 6 games. I don't think fullback is our biggest issue.

I'm desperately disappointed to see Hall leave but it's potential we are seeing leave not match winning ability right now.
There are certain things we need and full back is one of them. I honestly don't know if Dagger is the answer but he's a better answer than what we have now.

I'm not exactly happy but I'll see how it goes before passing judgement.

What es me off the most about this is not that fact of losing Corey, we don’t know his circumstances and what he or his agent wanted etc. It’s the fact that most fans were bleating about signing Shaul when he was offered on a plate, Shaul wanted to come, he was great for us when he played. He would of added great depth and competition to that FB spot. Instead we’ve been left with quite possibly the worst deal in RL history since Eddie Stobart sponsored SL for free.

I know we are on a shoe string budget but our preparation has been absolutely poor clearly, and just smacks of pure desperation now, 1 injury to our FB and then we’ve had to offload our best talent to make up for it.

A fullback is probably the most influential player in attack these days.

Kay has done an adequate job catching the ball and tackling….but that is no longer the job of a 1.

Without a specialist 1 our attack is always going to struggle as they play as the third creative pivot and are relied on to create a lot of assists by nearly every club.

I’m not a betting man but when Max returns I can see him moving to 6 with Dagger at 1 which will give us more pace and threat in the backline than we have had all year.

He isn't actually, that bad a player. He's been behind the pecking order of one of the best full backs in super league.

He’s on a par with Hall in my opinion if not ahead.

It’s ironic we are getting slated for some fans for swapping a fist team player for a reserve team player…when what is actually happening is we are getting a player who goes into our first team and Hull are getting a player who joins their reserves unless they get injuries in the centre.

It's no so much signing Dagger, I don't know enough about him to judge him, but losing Hall is a blow to me. OK he hasn't set the world on fire this season so far, but who in the team has?
It doesn't mean he's lost all the ability he showed last years.
I wouldn't have cared as much if a cash adjustment came out way but as it is HKR have got some of our young talent again at a bargain price.They must have a grin as wide as the Humber estuary.
