Typical second half

Well between Kendell and ourselves we did our best to lose that. Every single Salford score was well and truly gift-wrapped! Great first half, guttsy second. Hope Johnstone is OK. Even injured he was ripping Salford apart!

The penalty count and six again stats for that second half will be interesting reading. I bet possession will probably be 30-40 % too.

I guess , a win is a win

Was so nervous at half time… just had a feeling that we might (sub-consciously) try and put the cue on the rack… as soon as you lose momentum it’s so difficult to get back!

Still it’s two points and another win!

Ps can’t wait to see the first half tries!!

It wasn't so much as putting the cue on the rack but potting the balls for them. The short drop outs were fun but teams are wise to that now. I never want to see one again!

Imagine Willie won’t be happy with that second half.

Lino knock on after we had just scored, awful pass from dummy half at the start of the second and we didn’t see the ball again for 20 minutes, Miller not finding touch short drop out straight to Lafai who strolled in unchallenged. Good job Sneyd was not his usual self with the boot

Watching the Melbourne game earlier the commentary was saying that there’s nothing to lose by short drop outs… they obviously need to watch Trinity!!!

First half we looked like we could compete with anyone in the league, that was Tom Johnstone’s strongest performance I’ve seen and he only played 40 mins. Second half we just committed Hari Kari time after time with not finding touch, knock on and short drop outs. Really pleased about the 2 points and the first half but obviously the second half far below how we can play.

Why wasn’t Lino kicking

Yep we messed up the first thirty minutes of the second half. Lack of focus, one of Lino’s worst games. Still we won. TJ didn’t look to bad.

Really need to get Kay back to hooker, Crowther is just too slow.

Over we won, oddly all our tries were beauties so wasn’t all bad.

Sounds like a bit of a ‘curates egg’ of a performance… but in some ways it shows we can’t get ahead of ourselves… we have a decent team but so have most clubs and only our best will win games.

We have three wins… and a couple of fine away performances in defeat at last years grand finalists… and a cup QF spot … I’ll take that…

Yes I agree, Crowther isn’t a hooker, his distribution is too slow for SL level, but Jesus he puts himself about on the pitch doesn’t he, the lad Just throws everything he has in the tackle. If he was 6:4 and 18 stone he’d like S Burgess.

It just kept going wrong.
We tried things that have worked before and it cost us a try.
Miller was hobbling, Tanginoa looked off it, constantly the dummy runner, Lino clearly not right, obviously Tom meant Batch in centre where they scored easily, Hood going off slowed it down when we actually got the ball.

Just glad we made it in the end. A win is what we needed. A win is what we got.

Dominant first half performance and then came out looking like we were the ones chasing the game! Some crazy brain explosions. Literally a game of two halves.

Hope Tom is OK. I thought he was done when he went down, then he went on to score that outrageous try!

I know it's all going to be about the second half but I want to just call out Hall. He was absolute class when he got the ball.
The pass he made to release TJ for Miler's try is as good as I've seen at Belle Vue, including Collis and Domic. And it isn't the first time.

Thank God for Tom Johnstone...he set up 2 tries and scored 2 tries, so without him we would have lost that game. Let's hope he's okay for next week

I'm happy if he has the week off. It was an awkward fall and I really thought he had done some damage when they were feeling his legs, presumably asking if Johnstone could feel it

Todays offering from him was as much as we could have expected really on past performances.

Lino still did enough on the field for me, .Nice to know Jowitt is a good goalkicker.Think the problem to day was every mistake we made got punished ,think 3 of the trys Salford scored were from our mistakes.Did not help when T J went off at half time .Salford attacked down that wing a lot in the second half .Won our last 4 games with more of less the same squad we had last year .The difference is we are playing
a completely different rugby Think most fans would have taken that at begging of season We are\were favourites to go down with a lot of so called experts of the game
