The panthers 13s made hard work of newsome coming from behind to win 10-18.all the credit to newsome who will feel they were the better side for long periods,the panthers will know they have to be far smarter to go any further in the competion.

Other scores saw hunslet warriors beat lock lane 28-22 and feb lions go down 0-56 to shaw cross.

Great win for the warriors and sharks just seem to improve with every game

Im sure newsome will kickstart now and take a lot of confidence from taking you so far. Sounds like another good cup tie.

Lock Lane a litte bit of a shock ad last years runners up but Hunslet owe them from last year I think.

Stanley Rangers u15s crashed out of the first round of the cup losing to Oulton Raiders 12-22 in a poor day to pass the ball around,
the wind up on the field made it really difficult to control and it ended up being a forwards battle in which they wanted it more, their off loading in the tackle was far better and had the support of other players wish I could say the same of our team

We couldn't field a team - we've had dreadful luck with injuries this season; several lads out long term with broken bones and another one bit the dust with a badly sprained ankle mid-week. On top of that, a couple more away on holiday meant that we had no choice. Gutted.

Easter is traditionally one of the holidays that people go away in along with spring bank and the summer, a little thought for those that are participating in the sport wouldn't go a miss IMO

In fairness, we could have coped with just the holiday absentees - it's the injuries wot done us. We're like Hull FC at the moment; if we were on Sky, I would expect Eddie to precede every mention of Spartans with the words 'injury ravaged.'

Rumour has it that Stanley Rangers u15's have pulled out of their game with Oulton Rangers u15's this weekend because one player is injured!!

Nice to see camaraderie in a youth side between parents and coaches when the parents support the coaches decision to postpone a game so that their key player can recouperate.

We've still got 7 missing this weekend but can cobble a side together in order to fulfull our fixture at Upton (never an easy place to go).

well that's news to me, I very much doubt that is true as to my knowledge the only player that has an injury is my lad who is hope to get back to light training this week so I'd shoot that pigeon if I was you

A very welcome win in the league for the panthers 13s after beating shaw cross 12-26,league performances have been good this year and pleased that the lads finnally got just rewrds for their efforts with a very dominant performance.

Not many teams will go to shaw cross this year and come away with the points, great to see the Panthers get reward for being so close so many times.

I got shot down , wrongly although yet again if I trod on toes then sorry I thought but I really do hope the Panthers kick on from here. To many good players in the team and even going back to my crigg under 8 days my fave away club etc.

Wonder if they are still on the verge on building the team up

Shaw Cross Sharks. 11s travelled to birstall Victoria to keep their own unbeaten run going and try to end Victoria s even longer unbeaten run after a nip n tuck 1st half the sharks trailed by 2 at half time but a far better team defense and effect in the 2nd half so the sharks score 3 tries to 1 and take the match 30-16

The top group looms for the sharks just as the seeding for the divions will take place.

Crigg 13s still unbeaten and from what I hear staningley were never going ti threaten the streak.

Spartans went to Upton and won a very tough and uncompromising yet high quality game by 16-18.

The match was marred by another Spartans player breaking a bone, the 7th this season.

Panthers 13s are into the Yorkshire cup semi final after an hard fought win against a huge siddal side.
The game finished 18-8 in a proper cup tie where both sides gave their all.

Stanley Rangers U15s travel to Farnley Falcons today KO 11-00

Big win for the Spartans this morning, 54-16 vs Cas Lock Lane.

Outstanding game of rugby league and full credit to Lock Lane - their offload game is outstanding and despite some brutal defence, they never stopped coming. The game was played in great spirits - ref commented to me afterwards that he wished all jr games were played like that.

Shaw cross 11s inpressive season continues with a hard thought 18-4 over kings cross team from Halifax.

The team finshed the 10s with a flourish of wins which as carrired on up until now and with the skegness gala at butlins coming up the sharks should be confident of giving a good account of themselves.

Meanwhile

Crigg found the 2nd round a little bit more easy than the 1st to be fair nilling Milford, however coming up from division 4 to 1 is a hard task for anyone.
