Born in Barnsley, moved to Normy when I was 15 in early 70's. Got a job at pit n had mates who played for Cas, Fev, Doncaster, York, Bradford, Hunslet, Batley, Fax and of course Wakey. Used to go see them all play from time to time but always ended up back at Belle Vue.

I was born in, ... (cough) Cas. I soon realised the error of my ways and within 6 months of birth moved to Wakefield. Grew in Wakefield, now live in East Yorkshire.

It would be madness to be sent off in a friendly and then the ban only count against first grade games ??

Pretty sure it doesn't. If for example the RFL came out today and hypothetically handed Poore a 4 match ban. With only 3 friendlies left, what's to stop us arranging another friendly, play all the kids and claim he was going to play in it to erase his ban? Friendlies are not first grade games. They're pretty meaningless fixtures that fill the offseason. The fact that a banned player plays doesn't offer an unfair advantage. Whether you win or lose a friendly means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

All "Scheduled"* first team & international fixtures would count towards a ban even if friendlies

Ok, that's surprising, but works in our favour either way. However, if that is the case, what would our response be if the RFL having not yet held the hearing that we know of, finally have it next week and hand him 3 matches?

1 pre season warm up game that had already been sanctioned by the RFL can count towards a ban, so any more than a 1 game ban will count at the start of the season.

One game ban? Surprised as he saw red 1st half so that's more or less a game.

Unusual to see a ban for a fight. If this sets a precedent then any player fighting gets a red and a ban. Seems extreme.
