I too think this squad is under-performing, and peanuts or no peanuts, it is more than capable of producing better performances than it is this season. I leave the rest down to Agar but for me I have seen nothing in our defensive structures to suggest he is the coach to improve us or take us forward. The attack has got worse and his obsession with playing people out of position is criminal.

Yesterday was absolutely appalling, it took me back to when Cas stuffed us 80 odd nil in 96 I think it was, I've never felt so disappointed watching a game, utter sh8, never once during the game did I think that we put anything worthwhile together, we were getting absolutely slaughtered and did we try a different kick off? Nah, same kick every time, we were absolutely annihilated by a very well drilled team, not a world beating team, if RA can't get this squad up for our biggest game of the season then his pride should say time to go!

I totally agree with this post, if we can't get up for a local derby match a then something is very wrong.

I have never been a player or a coach basher, but when i look at the squad i see some half decent players in there, who are grossly under performing, in fact if you compare the Cas squad you dont see a very big differance.

Consistency is what Cas have, NOT a good performace or two followed by the disgrace we saw sunday and previous, it does follow a pattern with regularity. So for me it is time for a change of coach. But I am not convinced it will happen either for financial or other reasons.

All we ask for, as has been said before is we get full commitment to Trinity and I am afraid I just dont see that.

As angry as I was after Sunday & spending hundreds of pounds following my team.....asking for your money back isn't the best option for the club.

I said to my mates at the game we looked beaten even when we were walking out to kick off.

My worry is.....if we continue as we are.....just how many fans will continue to turn up & support the team......and that's not fair on the people who have worked tirelessly to keep the club going...

It has just reminded me that, at the time, I too thought Cas ran out looking the more determined outfit.

Can I say as a Cas fan I thought you played better than last time we met at Easter the difference this time we upped our game which made it look more easy. We would of beaten most of the sides there if not all of them the pitch the conditions suited us. I would not get to upset your picking points up and will be safe I know it hard when your beaten heavy in derby I know been there but this season all about staying up nothing else.

Wakefield have always been consistent at being inconsistent whoever was in charge or on the pitch. It is part of being a Wakefield supporter I don't know why some of you feel this season should be any different. We support for the surprise win, not for us the expectation of victory like a Leeds or a team bought for success like a Salford. Our expectations are lower but the victories are so much sweeter, this season more then ever, so why demand your money back now I could probably think of several games in previous seasons where our performance on the field was well below what was expected.

Gutting because of the opposition, but as you would expect of the 3rd place team, they were comprehensively better than us right across the park; did anyone want their money back when we got beat by Leeds?

I smell a rat. It makes me wonder if the players know something the supporters don't. I have seen that many performances like that over the years, only for the club to make an announcement later.

Think you are right Snowie. Lets hope the players get their fingers out. A much improved performance for the next game will help.
It does make you wonder how a team of professional players can perform that badly though.

If the players do know something isn't right they must have only found out recently in the last week. 2 good performances against Hull and Widnes are proof of that.

I smell BS to be honest. Why look for conspiracy when there isn't one, it's a bit of a myth this one anyway. It's a simple case of poor coaching and bad attitude, don't let the players off that easy

About time the attitude was changed get those players in thornes park running up and down that hill.Turn round to them and tell them training is 8 hours per day only rest days will be day before and day after a game until things change.
It certainly makes you sick when you have given up precious leisure time with your family to help out at the ground and not for reward but pride in the club you follow.You then get performances like that from the side who are better paid than the vast number of fans.Do I want my money back "No" just for the players to give it maximum effort its more fool me for spending that hard earned money watching that garbage when there are hundreds of other things I could spend it on.

It's a nice image isn't it, but modern sports science acknowledges that recovery is an integral part of training; beasting the players up and down cannonball hill 6 days a week would result in them being tired, undercooked and ill-prepared for the rigours of a SL game.

I understand the thinking, but they're not U12's who've left the clubhouse in a mess after an away game.

Tired undercooked and ill prepared, interesting view. Some may say that's the position at the moment.

Or some may just say we were beaten by a far better team on the day but now they're over it and looking forward to see if we can bounce back like we already have done this season.....

All the negative threads on this board make me question what people expect from us considering where we was 8-9 months ago?

Everyone at the club is trying as hard as possible....that includes the players, as wins at Hull & Widnes will show.....we never turned up against Cas and got our bottoms smacked....that's not undone the excellent work of the previous two superb victories though.....and we are still well on course to achieving our seasons goal of avoiding relelgation....which seemed very, very unlikely before a ball was kicked....

A look at the points conceded column in the league table should give a clear indication that we're not under achieving quite to the extent some believe we are defensively.....there's the 2 clear worse teams than us at present (London & Bradford) conceding plenty more.....and then other teams who are having similar inconsistent results like ourselves....Catalans, Salford, Hull KR....all not a million miles away in points conceded.....We have got genuine excuses and reasons why we should be a little behind all those....and no it's nothing to do with the coach, it's the amount of new players we have had to sign this year thanks to the financial mess we were in....

Why people think we should be conceding much, much smaller scores when you look at the modern game, and that we are without question a bottom 6 side in every way, shape and form is beyond me? Maybe if we had the resources/squad of a Wigan/Leeds/St.Helens and the scores/performances were the same then maybe I would be calling for the coaches head and demanding why there has been no public apology in the press when we've taken the odd hiding here and there.....WE ARE NOT THOUGH! Enjoy th wins when they come....the Hull...Widnes wins....delight in them and have a great week after......there will be more.....there will be more hammerings though without question....be disappointed, be upset for a while, but don't let it get you down too much....look at where we are as a club and have a look at other bottom 6 sides, they're all on a similar rocky ride....

I kind of was debating; the implication was that sports science should be ignored in favour of good old fashioned beastings - I disagree - a team trained in the 1970's style would be in physical danger going up against the Wigans and Leeds of this modern world.

Attitude, understanding and willingness to dig deep when times get tough is a different matter of course, and there's no science in that - but one without the other is pointless.

A bit ago I watched the video of the 82' Invincibles and some of the stuff they played would give bottom half SL teams a run for their money.
