Just been reading that the English based super league clubs operated at a combined loss in excess of £10m, across 2021.

There was only one to record a profit during this time, us. We recorded a profit of £167,020.

I think a well done is in order, especially during these hard times.

If the IMG comes down to box ticking, this could be very good timing.

I know it's meant that the player budget was less than it could have been and that was a risk but which would you rather have - a club still playing when the stadium is built or flirting with bankruptcy? With sound finances we can attract investment as we will be trusted.

On ther site the usual planks are out saying the begging bowl is out as this year will be a loss. They are are a disgrace supporting or not supporting the club. You don't have to agree with everything the club does but some people are pathetic

Phenomenal effort & times are about to get harder for everyone so to start this period of uncertainty from a strong position has to be applauded. Some will always see the negative, just as some will always see the positives so don’t be surprised, just accept you can’t please all the people, all the time.
As a side note; some of those figures are eye-watering & would surely discount them being awarded an A?!?

Been excellent from the club since we got a proper accountant in, a massive thank you from me.

Most understand, but there are two or three who are struggling with their 5 year old reading age.

Fantastic effort by the club, well done to all involved in making that happen. It must surely shed a good light on our Licence & grading when that happens.

Sts made huge losses of around 2.8 Million over the last 2 years, maybe they should buy less expensive chairs

It means our spend is restricted to what is recieved. Any excess from last years accounts will likely have been absorbed into last season or the stadium funds.

The Cas forum are saying they have made a profit of 473 + thousand pounds ,some one as got there sums wrong

Report says Shudds now have a total debt of £20 million. Good to hear.

Why is it a good thing to see a club in debt like that?

Much as I’m all for pushing positives this is a misleading story.

These were figures published in 2021 so I’m guessing they are from the 2020 accounts and I clearly remember MC stating we were on target to make a small profit that year. This was fantastic can’t knock it,

However I also believe that for the 2021 and 2022 we have run at a trading loss. A small one I suspect but not a profit unless something has happened I have not factored in.

The last two years have seen a huge drop in income for all clubs, in our case about twenty percent. It’s this that has caused a short term negativity in our accounts.

This is not a bad thing, so long as it can be managed and I think it can. If we can continue down the road of well managed debt then we are fine and will recover.

Whatever our current losses are I’m massively confident that they are still the lowest in the game.

Finally for those still pondering, buying shares will go a long way to giving us a healthier balance sheet.

Your point is well made, though Rugby League club accounts go to 30th Nov so if these are 2021 then they are predominantly for that year.
However, the balance sheet published for 2021 doesn't seem to quite match up with the number published here so not sure where they are getting their figures.
