| Been an ongoing issue that's gone slightly under the radar in recent weeks. But we need to sort it out. 6 sin binnings plus a red over 4 games. You can try and blame the ref but that is alarming.

| Very poor, Kirmond in particular, 10 mins for tripping twice ? Signs of lethargy ? Whatever.. Not good.

| Possibly a sign of fatigue....need squad rotation. In Raleigh's words 'run out of steam'. Another short turn around.....but who can come back in? Surprised Howarth, Crowther & Lynne didn't get a run tonight.

| Chester's season starts now. Short turnaround for the KR game and discipline slipping of late. KR do have a shorter turnaround being away to Catalans tomorrow though.

| Whilst fatigue may have been a factor, can't take away the fact that Salford bossed us tonight in a very important game. I hope we look at our own performances before starting to use things as excuses.

| On another thread, the discussion was the upcoming 4 fixtures and if we got 4 points from the 4 that would be fine.
Already have the 4 points.
The bubble had to burst sometime and would rather it be against Salford away, who with Lui playing are a totally different beast, than next Thursday at home against KR who are resting Campese tomorrow and are probably targeting our game as a 4 pointer.

Tbf I think the boys have earned an off night. Important thing is how they bounce back against Hull KR. Campese only returned last week so seems resting him immediately is a bit strange, unless he's still not 100%. Or as stated above Hull KR are holding everything back for us, in which case it's helmets on boys!

| Don't no why campese needs resting he didn't take a tackle the other night. We looked tired yesterday. Still don't rate Salford. Hopefully we go at Hull kr big time. We really need a few in before end of season would be ideal timing

I understand KR are not risking the flight incurred due to his previous leg injuries
when Blake Green was at the club he made a flight after a leg injury and had problems with DVT

| I think Chester has summed the game up last night to a tee. No issues with the ref we looked flat and the sin bins killed us. The only issue I had was the inconsistency of the merry flag waver in the first half he missed some calls for Wakefield and couldnt wait to get on when we did anything. Cobb was Ok for me.

| Cobb should trust his own eyes more. Twice he went with the TJ who was much, much further away from the action than he was.
Games usually have momentum-shifts. At no point did it shift to Wakefield. Salford were dominant all the way through.
To an extent, it was typical Wakefield. We get a wave cresting, and we don't just lose a nip and tuck but get completely whacked. Also, historically, we'd often pull off a surprise victory against a big side but then lose against the teams we need to beat. Last night was crucial. Salford are a good side and will climb out of the bottom 4, even with the deduction. Two points behind a failing Widnes and with better points difference. Last night would have pretty much got us in the Super 8's.
The whole focus has to be on Thursday. We have a poor points difference. Win that, and we need only worry about Widnes.

| A tired performance maybe physicaly and emotionally drained from last Sunday's effort, a good weeks prep for HKR now.

Hey, lets list Leeds treble winners and argue that they are currently a good team. For all the cash and big spend (legal or otherwise) Salford are still in the same bracket as Wakey, Widnes and KR.
They are a team who are generally lesser than the sum of their parts.

| Watched the highlights as at work last night and the tackles it shows Salford deserved that win if we are honest, yes we have fallen off the horse we just need to get back on it straight away as we did after the Hull defeat. Is Kirmo playing the oval ball game with the kids on the local green that's twice in a short space of time he has spent 10 in the bin for a trip. As other have pointed out did that comeback against Catalan take some gas out of the tank... Would have been great if we could have got the win and put pressure on Saints but we are still in 6 spot and having a cracking season after what we as fans had to endure last season

| Cracking season or not, the only focus has to be on avoiding the middle 8's, because there are some damn good sides in there. Let's face it, when all the points are scrubbed, if the teams remained as they are, it's likely that the team that isn't Leeds, Hudds and Salford is in the million pound game. As bad as Leeds are this year, it's a clean slate and almost a cup competition.

| I said all this in my Chester's challenge thread and was roundly shouted down - no good being radical now the horse has bolted.
I know it's not easy dropping players from a winning team but I thought we were obviously fatigued by the end of the Catalan game. I'm not saying this in hindsight seeing as I predictaed it but for me Thursday was an excuse to be radical and Chester wasn't and for me should have been.
He's done beyond brilliant since he arrived so not a criticism but sometimes you need to think outside the box as they say. Plenty of chances to pull it round but as I said on the Phil Clark thread, he had a fair point and though I hope it's better than one more game it's time to batton down the hatches and support the lads through what may be a difficult month or two.
