Any thoughts on the love affair that WMDC have with high rise ware housing in place of rugby stadiums, seems they have done it to Cas RL now in place of their proposed stadium, this is all getting bizarre now, even their local councillors are on the residents side ????I
Residents say that the building can be seen from space !
Their best chance is to hope its a market hall, then it will only last a few years !

It's reported on social media with photo's the construction of the warehouse & residents complaining ?

The site of this currently under-construction warehouse now has nothing to do with the current site and proposal for a new stadium for Castleford. This site belonged to Waystone and was earmarked for the new stadium under the previous deal Cas had, but not any longer.

Have there been any developments from our side of things after MC’s comments about discussions with the council? Understand you may not be able to say too much if it’s in confidence. Just wondering if there’s been any progress at all.

Interesting that Denise Jeffries appears to be present at the opening of New Cold and then stood with residents complaining about the warehouse in Cas unless its my eye sight of course!

Salford-Leigh, Widnes completely Rebuilt there Stadium to have a chance getting in Super League St Helens .Because you seem to completely forgotten that the RFL Set minimum standards for Super League grounds then once the Recession kicked in That was all forgotten, So you and your Neighbours get 10-15 years without having to spend a penny improving or finding a stadium to Share until you get your new stadium in Time for the 2030 RL World cup probably.

So how much did Salford, Leigh and Widnes contribute to the tax payer funded stadiums? How much have Salford council 'loaned' to the club to keep them operational?

St Helens, weren't forced, they did it to progress as a club, as did the other three who were gifted new venues by a forward thinking LA and a major developer.

Martin Sadler indicates that we are close to finalising the redevelopment of Belle Vue. It is hoped that news will be available in January but he cannot say anymore at this time.
