After getting back to winning ways against a poor Wire team yesterday, next up are our "friends" from the poor side of town.
With Cas sitting pretty at the top of the table and well clear of the chasing pack, this will be a huge ask and we would need our best game of the season to get over the top of them.
IF we have big Dave available, it would give the whole team a massive lift.
I think we have more pace than Cas on the flanks but we have to keep Gale quiet.
If we give him time and space, it could get ugly.

BV should be sold out and IF we could somehow beat them, perhaps Trinity would start to get some credit for the superb season that we are having.

Its a long shot I know but its gotta be in their minds, and ours.
They're gonna clotch that by suggesting they need to keep building momentum but, I dunno, they could turn the wick down a bit now and save it for the 8's ??

The scary thing about Cas now, is that they have threat all over the park; so over-focus on Gale, and there are any number of other players who will tear you a new one - Roberts, Hardaker, Millington, McMeeken, Minikin. They're outstanding - only Hull have managed to stay with them, and we can't do what they did.

I'll be hoping for a win against the odds - but I can't see it.

Cas are really good attacking when near their opponents line. Best chance of beating them is not giving piggy backs into our half with knock ons and penalties (although refs seem to be able to give anything at the moment!)

good discipline and a strong display in the forwards. It would be a massive boost if Fifita is back.

Forwards certainly need to better than they did at Mend a Hose.

Pressure really off now with that win. Can enjoy the Cas game regardless of result. Bringing a few newbies along with the promise of some good rugby. Hopefully we'll be playing it. Pity it's a Thursday night which will put a lot of part timers off going.

Yes, once we settled down and stopped trying to create something from every play, we took total control of the game but, Cas are a huge step up from a very poor Warrington side

Two sides that are playing well and on the up.

Think in the same fixture last year we went shoulder to shoulder with them for the first 60 minutes. We did though pick up multiple knocks in the game and ran out of interchanges, ultimately running out of steam.

Hoping for a good performance and us to nick it. This and a good pint of Snowies would be a good early birthday present

I dont think there will be any let up by Cas. Every point that Cas can get now is a step closer to the home tie for the playoffs come September.

I actually think we are one of the most likely teams to beat Castleford given the local derby factor, however I am not confident. I am hoping we perform to our best ability and then I will take the result whatever way it falls. Cas are playing excellently at the moment, so if we get comfortably beaten then so be it, as long as we perform to our best and don't do ourselves any injustice.

Also on a side note, it would be nice to get a decent referee for a change. Hoping for Thaler as I feel he is probably the best.

Looking at the other games, Hull to beat Saints and Catalans to beat Wigan will suit us well.

Working on the basis that we [ushould[/u be able to beat Saints at home, surely them beating Hull will be more favourable to us keeping Hull just a point in front of us assuming we lose to Cas.

It's great to be looking up the table, dreaming of a top 4 spot, rather than looking back over our shoulder.
I know that we are second favourites on Thursday and by a fair distance but, IF we could beat "a small town in Wakefield", what would that do for our club ?

Since top 8 is now secured the only thing any team should really be focusing on now is trying to get in/stay in the top four. So for that reason I hope Saints beat Hull.

Looking forward to this one, should be a cracker of a game. Gonna be tight I think, and the 'local derby' factor throws the book out of the window for me. All about who wants it more on the night.

Wakefield getting 8 start with William Hill so, perhaps it will be tight.
You didn't, by any chance, pick a host of injuries up in the Hull game ?

Earlier in the season I think us Cas fans would have had this down as a given but not now. I thought the Cas defence was awesome against Hull and the only time they threatened us was that last 15 minutes when they had to throw caution to the wind. perhaps that's the way to go for you.

should be a good game, going to put a real ale hand pump on for the first time in the away end in the bottom corner so look out for it

If You win I won't be that bothered I don't think. I want you to make the top 4 and we have some breathing space. But then it's obviously a derby game and nobody likes to lose derby games.
