| Just a few I've picked out:
Penani Manumalealii- Half
James Storer- Hooker
Junior Roqica- Second Row/Centre
Think there could be a few south sea island bargin buys & the way Fiji & Samoa have played we'd be silly not to be having a look. There's a few few in the second grade that look sharp.

| I liked that massive Samoan forward who's playing for Saints next year. Who hopefully will have an off days against us or not play.

| This World Cup is an ideal time to be talking to prospective bargain signings.
Some players in a few of the teams with potential.

we were rumoured to be signing him before the beginning of last season according to sources on here - but then he joined Penrith

| I guess a number of French players may be at Trinity next year (fed trained). I wouldn't mind seeing Fages at Trinity given the limted time he may get at Salford now. I seem to recall Fakir was rumoured to be signing for the club but that was before the house of cards fell down.

Yes both us and Saints were chasing him
Saints put in a big offer but he turned
down to stay in the NRL and changed his mind this year. As scary as he is his fitness is not great and if you get people to run at him constantly (bearing in mind he will probably destroy who ever runs at him) to tire him
out and nippy, quick halfbacks will surely find gaps he had made through fatigued.

When Fakir first came on the scene I thought he was going to be a world beater. Something just didn't click with him, but he'd still be a decent signing.

| I understand that we had agreed terms with Fakir for next season, but the RFL put a stop to it until we were out of the latest mess.

| Ashame about Fakir yes he does give a few penalties away but he doesnt take a backwards step and is very physical. Had a great game against PNG and when he was on the field France were making a lot more yardage.

| I cannot believe the RFL even this lot would put such a restriction on a club by imposing an embargo on signings until we clear what, the shortfall however much that is now is really nothing to do with them, if it is the loan they have this guaranteed because it will probably come out of our Sky money before we get it.

Agent you've nearly been here 3 months and still believe what you read. No disrespect to Bren2k or other posters but I'm not 'in the know' and will wait until official announcements are made and until that all of it is speculation.

| I think the word "cannot" is a bit of a clue that I do not believe it but I just expanded on my argument giving reasons why I did not believe it even with the likes of Woods and Rimmer in charge.

| We are kidding ourselves if we think that our players are coming from the world cup any good ones will undoubtedly be on the books of other clubs the squads have been known for awhile and the homework must have been done before a kick is taken which I believe other clubs have done ie hull. K R.
getting players is a very competitive market and with our well publicised problems ... and with no budget ..or uncertainty on what that is am afraid ...
just logic not meaning to put a damper on peoples aspirations think that has already been done

MNot all all them are necessarily at top clubs. Some players may not have played NRL or enough games there but be playing in the W Cup. They therefore can get work permits just on the basis they have played in RLWC rather than satisfying the 30 + ( ?) number of first grade games in NRL

| We had agreed deals with Addy and Fakir who both turned down offers from other clubs believing they were already sorted out with their new club. A few weeks of not receiving returned phone calls, emails etc and then the uncomfortable truth that we couldn't honour the terms of the agreements meant that both players had to scramble around for a contract elsewhere.
They're both sorted now but are probably on reduced terms as a result of being put in such a weak position by WT.
Had we actually signed the contracts they would no doubt have been given the same opt out decision which was offered to Chris Tuson.

I imagine thats done wonders for our reputation with players around the leagues. It's going to be tough to get anyone to sign up if there is more than one offer on the table.

| Kane Bentley could be a good realistic target. Gives his all very physical and leads the team well round the park at 9, could also play in the back row. Like for like replacement potentially for Aiton.

| Thought this guy looked very good indeed he didn't take a backward step tonight and made hard yards everytime. He was a Proctor figure who plays for Melbourne. This guy is a ideal replacement for Kyle Amor. He plays in Elite Pro championship I am sure this guy wouldn't break the bank. This is 1 of the excellent things about the World Cup unearthing bargains

He seems to run hard and played at a lower level in France (16 1/2 stone and 6 foot has some size and strength)..so may come cheaply? USA look pretty good so far.

6’ 220lbs Offerdahl is also a personal trainer and is focused on maintaining his fitness and endurance and continually works on his skills set in order to stay on top of his game. “That’s the main thing in rugby league these days. Fitness, talent and ball skills,” continued Offerdahl. “You can be big and strong and fit, I’ve seen a million of them, but they can’t play football to save themselves. “The whole strength and speed thing is just an added bonus; it can only get you so far. You’ve got to have that talent, that fitness, that drive, that mongrel about you I guess. That’s the difference.” Those qualities are what brought him to this point and he hopes that they, along with continued good form, will take him all the way into the US national team. Aside from his goal of representing the USA in the RLWCQ, Offerdahl will further his playing career in France signing a contract with Carcassonne in the French Elite 1 league - See more at: www.amnrl.com/news/team-tomahawk ...
