Not enough game time for a fair few of the forwards in pre season. It will take us 3-4 weeks of the first team playing together for us to start playing as we know we can. Timing is out, game fitness not there and due to injuries, strength could be a concern. Time will right all that even if its not what people want to hear. I expected more fight today though

Thats optimistic,the squad have been in training since November,weve only added a couple of players to last seasons squad,so i really dont get why it will take another 3/4 weeks.
Defense was garbage most of last year and i see no reason why it wont be garbage again this year.

Not all the team have been training though. Lots have had operations and not doing a full pre season. Most pre season games we've been with only 1 recognised prop due to this. Plus kirmond and mariano been out and not playing together in pre season and its no surprise we looked disjointed. Keep the faith. If we learnt anything from last season it's not to start going over the top when we lose. Disappointing, certainly. Slit your wrist time, certainly not.

when people come on here and try and make exuses for a performance like that igive up ,timing is out game fitness not there whos fault is that i went to saints we were hammered i said wel trounce donny and every thing would be fineand people beleive that , stop wiping bums some of these players arnt good enough trouble is when folk criticise them they get shotdown . No I'll think you'll find that people get shot down when they start relentlessly bagging individual players. Mathers for instance was arguably our MOTM along with Aiton.

We were rudderless in attack without Timmy but the defence was awful. Poore was well, poor. The whole pack was steamrolled from start to finish, I was surprised as I think our pack has the potential to be top drawer.

Those who said Bulls should do their talking on the pitch were correct.

I was surprised at the result. And at how our supposedly lightweight pack totally buried yours, which on paper looks strong.

Think Wakefield fans saw the Paul Sykes all us bulls fans had the pleasure of seeing week in week out. The guy is garbage and today Sammut showed him how a stand off should play.

What is embarrassing is when people go way over the top when we lose. It's a long season. I'd have thought people would remember that from last season?

went today and thought we were very poor.Did we complete a set? I thought it all started from the kick off when we bottled the catch and ended up with about 3 or 4 sets to defend was it mathers? i dont know but im sick of people on here defending poor basic skills catching and tackling.After that they put plenty of high kicks in for us, knock ons,dropped balls,poor defence. Well what do I say Wakefield didn't turn up, our defence was shocking we looked clueless, and Mathers needs need to learn how to tackle one on one...

im willing to bag any individual player ifb i think hes not doing his job and unfotunatley for mathers fans hes been at the head of my criticisum but todays was aterrible team performance and anyone who thinks smith alone can turn things round is living in dream land

Disappointed with the game. Yes its a long season and we can only improve. Away at Bradford isn't a game I would be expecting us to win to be fair more the reverse you'd expect Bradford to win, having said that though I would expect the team to perform better than they did. Every team in the league have the same prep time for fitness and training etc so that's no excuse.

Definitely lacked some attacking leadership (Tim Smith would of made a difference but we still wouldn't of won).
IMO too may basic errors eg knock on's near the line, missed tackles and generally poor defence. Defending back to back sets early on would of taken it off of the team but its no excuse they are athletes and should be trained and prepared for that situation.

Not into blaming individual players. Think we have a right to be annoyed and disappointing at the performance though, we do pay to see the team and that money pays their wages.

Just hope we do better against Hull, a poor start to the season will have an impact on attendances whereas the reverse is true.

Work to do in training, but it can only get better!

Poore was a liability once again, was it 4 penalties alone he conceded? Didn't seem like he was on for many minutes either but that might have been for tactical reasons.

From a Bulls fan's perspective, of course, that is the most encouraging thing. Don't think any of us are under any illusions about how hard this season will be and no, I doubt any sensible Bulls fan will be "wetting himself with excitement" as Wildycat so eloquently put it. But I think our lot caught you by surprise with just how determined they intended to be. Won't catch anyone else by surprise now, though.

Our forwards were poor, Ollie Wilkes was by far our best forward today and considering who else played that was a shock, wood was dire, Mathers had a solid game in a poor match and made some good tackles, shame that we didn't put in the effort across the field, saying all that and we were never in the game, some decissions by mr thaler were bewildering, I dont think thay would of changed the result, but they could have changed the margin of the defeat .
Roll on next week, hopefully TS & AR back, anyone now if Reece Lynne is OK, seemed to be struggling with hamstring late on
