| As the title suggests.
Suprised Wakey haven't confirmed his departure and thanked him for his services, or have they and I just missed it?

I know it sounds a bit harsh but having rescued his career twice and giving him a great living for many a season is that not thanks enough. I have no issues as such with Korkis career choices but he's hardly a JD or JT figure either. They haven't thanked anyone else who's gone, why is Korki any more worthy?

| Quite dissapointed thought he could do a decent job at prop where we are still lacking in size and brunt.
Done well for us as we have done well for him.
All the best Korki !

They have. The point is whatever people think of Korkis abilities he has been associated with the club for a long time and given more than just on the field.

Not with me he isn't and I doubt he "easily" is with others.
I wish him well but don't lament his moving on, he has had an up and mainly down career with us IMHO. I realise that may upset the Korki fan club but unfortunately we don't all think the same nor are we obliged to either. Thanks.

| Not this again, Wakefield did not release Korkidas, Huddersfield have decided not to offer him a new contract. He was never our player to release.

First of all the club should thanks ALL players that move on out of common decency, players who have all served our club.
And in this case Korki is part of the fittings at BV and as been for a long time, the people at this club should remember that goodwill and treating players with respect go around in our game and future players may not be recommened in future. You may know that some players we've signed in the past would never have come if not the "words" of former players.

Do you actually watch rugby or just go for the pies and look distantly in sky as the games on? Because frankly I don't believe you know Jack Smith about RL and more specifically WTW.
Dowes is easily a better prop that MK & I've been a big fan of his over the years. Nobody can question his devotion or contribution over the past decade, but move on. ED at this moment is far more capable. If players never depreciated in ability with aged (with the exception of Steve Menzies) Mal Maninga would still be in the green and gold!
If stuck up for your before NGBFC but that really irritated me for some reason??

don't think dowesy will be coming to wakey. him and the coach get on like oil and water. think he may regret letting korki go because at the moment the front row looks rather laughable apart from one loan signing that can be recalled within 24 hrs notice

Amor can't be recalled. And I hope Dowes does sign or we are going to be very light in the front row.

He may have moved on but players contracts finish in November I think. He was also on loan to us for this season from Shudders as part of the Brough deal so at the end of the lasty game he became part of their rosta I believe

Can't say I agree with that. There have been players at the club whom IMHO have not deserved any thanks at all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, not all players are part of this mythical warrior class that some portray, as in real life some are just rotten. In my case I will reserve my right to praise players how I see fit and so long as I'm polite so what. The club is free to do as it sees fit and take their chances.
Now clearly Korki isn't one of those rotten ones and I would have assumed any player with 100 plus games would get a thank you from the club and I'm sure he will.
So why did the original poster feel the need to make such a fuss over a none event. Yes I get your point it isn't that difficult but could it not just be a plain over site not some more sinister event, these things happen. Nobody has a white hat or a black hat, they are all shades of grey.
So best of luck to the bloke, but a big thank you - not from me - not on this occasion. Others wishing to do so are free to, I'm not stopping them - why all of a sudden do we have to all sing the praises of every player who moves on. This is the same forum that for years has seen certain posters use threads to launch vicious attacks on player some still at the club - now you're wrong because you don't feel the need to gush thanks to Korki - frankly I'm baffled.

Really, I've come to the conclusions that player groupies like you are never more happy than when you think you can take the high ground. Usually against folk who are a little more realistic about life and a little less sycophantic. So I express an opinion and it's me thinking I'm always right, yet when you do it as above I assume that isn't the case. This is I assume still a forum on which to express opinion?
So you are conceited and a hypocrite, nice one.

Cheers Korki!! But time to move on, I think he offers little going forward, and fresh players are the requirement.
Another on his way seems to be Semi, according to GPFC;

Both good servants to the club, but as we embark on a new chapter it's time to move on.

Thats fine but you are not the only Trin fan and others see players in a different light, my point stand that RESPECT and DECENCY cost nothing.

I agree with most of this post but I dont agree thanking players who took us for a ride like Hickey. As for Korki hes gave his all for the mighty Trin sad to see him go but I do understand the reasoning. He is part of the furniture and I shall miss him love his lung busting drives when you get behind him.
