Mattie Wildie confirmed last night that he, Davey and maybe a couple of others will be available for the next game.

Is that why Walshaw didn't play? JK thinking it be fair to give 20s a chance to progress? If so I can see the reasoning behind it but would still have liked him to get another game under his belt especially with them having a second bite at the cherry.

JK allowed several of the players who could have represented the under 20s at Wigan to go to Blackpool on the end of season lash up. This meant that we could not send our strongest team to Wigan. The boys that played did a great job and deserve high praise. This situation raises questions for me. Firstly what was JK thinking to allow this to happen, we should have selected our strongest team, can you imagine Wigan allowing young players to go on the lash with the first team instead of playing in the play offs. It looks so unprofessional. Second question how serious are our boys about the game, I would like to think that the players who were told they could go on the lash to Blackpool would have said no and gone and found Tony Dury and told him they were available foe selection.

In a nuttshell, if they really want it they would have asked to play.
