Sorry but after last nights second half display from him why have we not signed him on for another contract. The more this goes on the more I am inclined to think he’s going elsewhere.

If I were a Trinity supporter, I'd want him signed up too. A good forward capable of making stuff happen.

MC mentioned last week that his next contract talks were with Fifita and Tupou.

There was a little matter of securing where we will be playing in the foreseeable future that may have hampered the contract negotiations.

It's also a two way thing, the club may want to offer him a new contract, Fifita may not be be ready discuss terms.

He has an additional year option in his favour on his current contract and I seem to recall that he indicated in an interview a few weeks ago he would be activating it.

That said, it doesn’t mean the club aren’t in dialogue with him for a revised longer term contract

I must admit you have done fantastic job running the club. It’s purely out of knowing that in the past when we have a players of his calibre the vultures are always circling. Looking at what other teams are spending year on year with nothing to show for it shows how well the club is run now.

I hear the alarm bells ringing, fifita has been seen in the company of Joseph Paolo and Lachlan Coote. With Luke Douglas leaving at the end of the year and a strong rumour that Fages could be heading south there will be ample room on the s/c for saints to make a very good offer.

The rumour mill starts again.

Something to think about DF hasn't been at a club with strong final realistic claims....his next contract will undoubtedly be his last chance....what would you do if you were him?

I would return to Aus and play in the NRL.

What is wrong with some of you, when in recent times have we sold players whilst under contract unless they have indicated that they want to move to increase their game time. I know those of us that have supported the club through various leaderships have lived through years of players leaving to prop the club up for another season.
With the current regime this is now no longer the case and with regards Fifita all we have heard is his desire to stay and at a minimum take the one year extension.
He could have left two seasons ago but decided to stay why would he move now because we have a stronger squad.

Not just big Dave , Anthony England is in his last year, I’d like to see him get at least 1 year extension minimum, thought he and big Dave stood out against Wire, he’s a tackling machine and obvious CC had him and Dave downas the prefers starting props ,, he tends to go under the radar but since his arrival from Wire he has been involved in the upward trend of trinity ?
