Having seen a very plucky performance by Fax (against Saints) at the weekend, what can we reasonably expect.
With Trinity lacking any fight or heart over the last few weeks (with one or two notable exceptions), just how will we go on Friday.

Although Fax had a go at them, Saints really didn't have to get out of first gear on Saturday and therefore they will be good to go against us on Friday.
I certainly expect us to face something close to a full strength Saints side and we have to find a way to match their energy and physicality to have any chance of getting anything from the game and most of all defend well.

It's hard to see anything other than a 30 point reverse - similar to the cup game a few weeks ago.

If Jowitt is fit, should we make a change in the halves and go with Hampshire/Miller or Hampshire/ Brough and we need our best defenders on there.
Randall needs to start at 9, with Wood on the bench and Crowther at 13 and then it's probably a case of who is fit.

Should we save anyone for the 2 Hull games or be trying to get something from this one ?

The players need to play like the club and their careers depend upon it. We saw Salford almost nick two points weeks back, but we’ll probably give up in the first ten minutes.

The break came at a good time for us to break the cycle of despair going around. I expect a loss but i also expect a different attitude to what we have seen with a renewed effort and enthusiasm. Hopefully Saints will have a bit of a cup hangover and it’s expected that Holbrook will announce this week that he is going back to Australia next season. They do know though that a win for them this week and defeat for Warrington in the South of France and the league leaders shield is done. All that means rather than a battering i’m going for Saints by 10-14, but a showing that will stand us in good stead moving forward.

I can't see a hangover from that game - it was the RL equivalent of half a bitter with your Grandad after a big Sunday lunch.

I am a realist and therefore, sadly, expect another drubbing.

Our defence has been shocking, to say the least, in recent games and it's really hard to see two weeks coaching fixing it.
The players surely know how to plug the gaps, it's really up to them. Are they up for it?

They haven't had two weeks training, not that - that would make a huge difference ?

I can't believe that all these negative comments from supporters help to improve the confidence of the players.We know that they have been under performing for a variety of reasons,some of which we are not aware of.Instead of using "Sweet Caroline" as an anthem that a number of sporting organisations do, why not try another Neil Diamond song "Talking Optimist Blues"? Google it and enjoy!

Play the strongest squad we have available it’s the only way . Targeting games like the hull ones is a huge gamble . Let’s hope they find some of their early season form starting this fri with a good show it will build up their confidence no end and put us in good stead for the remaining games

The bookies are giving us 18 start and having been done by 30 points by half a Wigan side last time out, I just dont see where we are suddenly going to gain some form.
Yes, we've had a week off but, Saints never had to get out of first against against Fax so fatigue wont be a problem for them.

Well, we shouldn't have been thrashed by London (twice) and beaten by Hull Kr and Leeds at home.

No but we weren’t fighting for our lives then. Now jobs depend on them performing. I think that will now focus the mind and they will.

We are relegated, pure and simple. The players are not giving a damn about it.
