Most games in The Championship are on Sunday - Bongser knows as he has watched most of his live RL at that level. It's quite enjoyable; the rivalries are there though different ones. Going down isn't that bad

Barring three previous seasons (TWO if you discount 2021 when the established SL clubs elected to cut out a chunk of Leigh's share of the TV money and split it amongst themselves) Leigh have had bo0gar all central funding. We do not own our stadium and have to pay the "rent boys". Where's all Wakey's pennies gone? Maybe ask an accountant!

We don't have any pennies. That's the point. Crowds aren't big enough and we don't have backers to give us extra.

I take your point about going down a level. Our promotion season was one of my favourite ever.
But I also remember going to the bottom end of that league and getting beaten in some pretty horrible places by pretty poor teams.
It's only good when you are on the up.
