Quote ="Redscat"Agree 100%, PT, but PNG had something that GB haven't shown at all in this four match series and that is the sheer desire to win. To a degree the Tongan side were similar, but far more skiliful in their execution than the Kumuls.
I've always been far more interested in club rugby than the international game and GB have done nothing to alter this view. I actually wanted the Kumuls to win once they started to dominate the game from the very start of the second half.'"
I agree with what you have posted.
However, I think the damage to the GB sides confidence was already done in the two defeats against the Kiwis and the loss to Tonga.
We looked very low on confidence last week and ready for the plane home yesterday and that was before the game began.
The loss to Graham was huge and without that we could have won but, the squad selected by Bennett & Co was poor and magnified with injuries
The GB brand needs forgetting until there are players from the other home nations that are really worthy of inclusion and if we are all honest with each other, there just aren't any.
Back in the day when there was an influx of decent talent from Welsh RU, the Lions was improved by having some of those players in the squad but now, its a step backwards.
Also, where was the threat going to come from, we had no pace whatsoever.
