Quote ="Dreadnaught"Is it just me or are Wakefield fans the singularly most obsessed fan about the machinations behind the scenes. We are constantly complaining about how the Chairman does business, how the club is run, how many shirts we ordered, etc etc etc.
the chairman is the chairman and has the right to do what he wants, how he wants, personally I don't have an issue with this, i know many others do. But really, in the big scheme of things what has it got to do with us. Yes we are fans and pay to watch a product which we expect to be of a certain standard, but that, pretty much, is out of his hands.
We are not fighting new owners off, so lets be thankful for what he have. He's an accountant and it shows, but at least we still have a club.
When Ted was here it was said that certain people (whoever they were) would not invest while he was there, We heard the same story about Glover and Elston, and i suspect it will always be the same. So unless you have a couple of million to throw away i suggest we start accepting what we have and start supporting the club.
The on field issues are a concern but although ultimately responsible he is not directly responsible and that is the difference.
If we get relegated so be it, but I am Wakefield 'till I die, not Wakefield as long as we are in super League, Or Wakefield as long as the Chairman runs it the way I Like..... (I've seen a lot a crap teams, and some pretty dire Directors over 40 years)
I'll be At Belle Vue, or Dewsbury, or Oakwell, or Doncaster or wherever as long as the Name of Wakefield Trinity exists, (it may die before I do, but that's the way thing go sometimes)
Just my opinion.. I know there are a lot of others out there.'"
If/when we move I'll put a big fat wager on it that we won't be called Wakefield within 3 years.
