Salford have signed back row Reni Maitua from Featherstone and centre Ian Thornily from Wigan.
If Thornily is fit then he's a good signing and one which we should have investigated when Collis left the club.

I was talking about this with a friend.
"Koukash making last minute, desperate signings" he said.
We had already discussed our signings which he viewed as positive for the most part, adding strength and willingness to play.
I asked him what the difference was between the two situations and he just said "Well it's just Koukash throwing his money about".
I'm not sure I see the difference really, just two teams doing whatever they can to try and stay up.
I just thought it was an interesting point of view.

I saw Maitua play for Featherstone this season and I was impressed with him. He's pretty skilful for a back rower. Think he played for Australia at international level about 10 years ago.
