Quote ="vastman"Not quite the way it was with bazzo but yes you did. I admire your loyalty to Bazz but he did overstep the mark as he suggested something was about to transpire that didn't at a time that was potentially bad for the club, not AG or JE but the club - there is a difference. His heart was in the right place but knowing the truth is one thing, telling it is another. Despite what some say on here openness is not always the best thing - I can't help but think it would be a far easier club to sell if it were not for the endless negative gossip bandied about mainly by Trinity fans - true or false.
Let's also be a little fair, most people were not in a position to really know the true horror and in all fairness Glover was great at selling Glover.
Personally I was hounded from the start for suggesting Glovers contribution was pure "window dressing" which it was.
I was also derided by certain very verbal and quite respected posters on here when I suggested that our assembled squad was way more expensive than was being let on. I gave it chapter and verse and was told I knew nothing, yet to me it was obvious we'd crash and burn.
I think the whole AG thing was a case of people believing what they wanted to believe - it's not the first time in sport or many other things that that has happened and it won't be the last.
Maybe pompous eccentric loons like myself are worth a listen every now and then.
One final dig at the "Glover" poodles from the so called "Ted poodle".
It took Ted 15 years to finally crash at Wakefield, Glover did it in three! enough said.'"
Vasty i got told the very same day about the Admin, after weeks of knowing we were on the brink.
The only reason it did not happen was because the RFL said no chance, not this time, sort it or do one.
I actually think bazz did us all a favour, at least the blinkered heads on here lifted from the sand to condem him.
