What about a statue recreating the famous Wembley photo of Derek Turner on the shoulders of his team mates with the Challenge Cup held above his head?
Something along those lines would be a great tribute to the club from the council and would go a long way toward deflecting the criticism of the council that they have zero regard for Trinity and what they mean to the City of Wakefield.

Apart from all else the presence of the statues in the other shopping centre's actually enhances the feel and the ambiance of those venues!
