| Tony Smith needs sacking now, England struggled last year only narrowly beating PNG and last nights performance was pathetic for at least 60 minutes. T.Briscoe, Shenton, L.Smith, Myler, Moore, Westwood, Sinfield are not international players.
The level of Super League is not up to standard and the players we are producing are well off the pace except for Eastmond and Tomkins who i feel should be the half backs now.
The skill levels in England are poor with errors such as Penalties for incorrect PTB, Too many unforced Knock On's, Nothing kicks, poor handling and lack of british talent. I was glad for Bobby Goulding because these guys are easily lost in the british game when we should be intergrating them into coaching positions, the likes of Gary Schofield, Ellery Hanley, Paul Loughlin, Denis Betts etc should be given opportunities and not just as pundits.

| Quote ="BelleVueLifer"agree that eastmond must start at 7
as for mcguire, ive always maintained that he is a great reader of the game, which makes him a great support player...he is fast and has good footwork - those qualities make him a great finisher....
however, he lacks creativity...
as for myler, he basically played against le catalans last night and struggled. yes he took a try well but that wont stop the aussies and kiwis exploiting every crack in his game! he even used the oldest trick in the book - grew a bit of facial hair to make himself look more grown up/intimidating
the england team is badly short of quality playmakers...eastmond aside, there is diddly squat...
for me...mcguire and myler out, brough and tomkins in...broughys rough and ready and you know your youre going to get...someone whos strong on defence, someone who has a good long and short kicking game, someone who can kick at goal and someone who respects no one, gets stuck in and rattles a few cages....
and tomkins...clearly capable on attack and defence, takes the line on, isnt afraid, gives the opposition something to think about. for such a young lad he is fearless !!!'"
Put him in the Salford team then see how good he is he should be nowhere near the England set up good support player with decent pace but bugger all else
Young Tomkins is already a better player give him a chance

| Quote ="Trinity Till Death"Wasn't the reason Smith left out Tomkins was because he doesn't organise and lacks structure. I have to say i didn't see much organisation or structure from either Myler & McGuire.
I felt sorry for Sinfield, i think he felt the pressure of taking the reigns, because we don't have a halve with a decent kicking game. Myler might have scored a couple of tries but that doesn't paper over the cracks in my opinion.
Tomkins must play against New Zealand and maybe even Eastmond. Not ideal but i'm sure they'd do better then Myler & McGuire'" sinfield is a good honest player, but top level maybe not, not big enough for a forward too slow for a 6 but a good all round club player, hanley or gregory he aint and imnot saying hes rubbish just hes a bit short at toplevel

I said opportunities such as youth development posts, player performance posts etc, i am afraid after watching the game last night we are a million miles away from the intensity that Australia and New Zealand bring to International Rugby League
