Quote ="Uptoncat"I snapped (ruptured in medical terms) my anterior cruciate ligament and tore my medial meniscus (carteledge) and with physio was able to get around comfortably after about 4 weeks, would have been quicker if first surgeon i saw had sent for physio straight away. I had my operation to have it reconstructed two weeks ago and am making a very good recovery, was off my crutches after two days. Its all about keeping it moving and excercising it, gone are the days of having your leg in a splint for weeks on end.'"
Almost exactly the same story as mine Uptoncat. It takes a lot of hard work but I did mine near beginning of seaon and missed the rest of the season but was skiing and playing fitter than before the season after. And I wasn't a pro. I did that at the gym while going to work.
So for Blanchy who is full time and already fit, he should have been on a static bike within 4 weeks and having the brace on to walk around. Building up the muscle is most important thing.
