Quote ="IngsRoader"I want all Wakey fans who were at the Wigan match to immediately go for blood tests, because I am convinced that we are seeing a new deadly strain of virus that has infected our supporters.
It is the only possible explanation for this total change in attitude, outlook and demeanour. From being optimistic, excited and positive suddenly everyone is doom-laden, angry, pessimistic and in some cases almost paranoid.
Please try and hold onto some semblance of sanity (I know this is asking too much for some
) whilst I try and find an antidote. I may, unfortunately, be gone for some time.'"
Too true. I don’t post on here very often but check in almost everyday to have a read of what’s going on.
The difference in peoples attitudes from Saturday to today is amazing! I cannot believe the absolute pessimism some people are showing in their posts today compared to the optimism before the Wigan game.
Yes, we played poorly against Wigan, we looked out of sorts and lethargic at times, but we weren’t steamrollered. It isn’t like the time we went to London and had 72 run in past us.
We are playing some good quality rugby on the resources we have and are constantly improving. If you look at the set plays and difference in defence, along with the fitness, condition and consistency of some individuals and the team as a whole from last season we have in my opinion improved vastly.
Maybe our expectations have been raised too high after 3 great wins over the Easter period, coupled with the stadium announcement.
I think everyone needs to remember though, we are Wakefield, at the start of the season most of us would have snatched the chance at a top 8 spot, let along at top 6, or 1 point of second place after 11 games!
I'm not a 'rose tinted spec' fan, Wakefield frustrate the hell out of me with their inconsistency, but again, i think that’s why i love em!
Cheer up folks!
