Can't say I agree with DR but if it means that we have a professional rugby club in the town then until the DR is dropped then I think if that's the way the club have to go to survive to rebuild then so be it.
The club will never please everyone if it was a team full of kids getting hammered every week people would say I'm not paying to watch that.
The DR system also has people saying I'm not going down because they don't like that system.
The truth of it is that if you are a really true supporter then you will go down whatever the situation.
If we all boycott for whatever reason there will be no club if that's the way you would prefer it you can never call yourself a supporter of the club.

Well said Mr Hicks. I dont like DR but if this is the only way to sustain Cougars then lets give it a go. True supporters will always be there at CP and also travel away.As one who always stands at the half way line (hail rain or rarely sun!!) I am sure the real true fans feel the same.

Yep I go along with Mr Hicks. Give the new coach a chance - we need to wipe the slate clean and move on. Just being bitter about the past isn't good for our health. The Club has to work within a structure that is what it is and we may as well come to terms with that if want a future.

I agree, by all means give the new coach a chance but I will never accept DR as being good for the club. Imagine entering into an agreement with Batley for DR and getting promoted on the back of it, what happens the following season? I can't imagine Batley being enthusiastic about a DR agreement then due to being in direct competition. Lets build the team to gain promotion under our own steam.

Probably none me included but if we were lucky enough to get promoted then maybe the money we get for going up would help us stand alone again.
We tried this season to go it alone. We spent more than we had in the past on what most people were exited about and this didn't work.
We were beaten by Toulouse who were head and shoulders above everyone during the season, Rochdale, York, Doncaster We're all DR and we couldn't compete with them.
Just take it until the RL stop DR we have to accept that if we don't go with it we fall further behind then it could be too late.
At this level of sport you have to accept that some things are out of our control to survive.

Meet the new coach 14th October @19.30, ask the man himself, get it out in the open, pretty sure the directors will be there too, nows the chance for people to have their say !!!

This ^^^^^ As many as possible need to attend in order to have a say and clear the air. Not only to have a say but also to listen. I'm just as against DR as most Cougar fans but I will support the team whichever way we end up going. Season ticket ordered. Up the Cougars!

That's the words of a true supporter. There's a lot of things in life we don't agree with but sometimes we have to accept them to move on in life.
This situation is no different.
Accept it or punish yourself by not going to the matches every week.
Give the club a chance and judge it at the end of the season not the beginning.

Dual registration is another nail in the coffin of professional RL in this country below SL level.
The sad part is the SL Cubs and RFL don't seem to understand why.

IMO DR is wrong and the club would be naive to go down that route. Although Rochdale have benefited this season, it has not worked in most cases.Someone on this forum said how low can the Cougars go, well DR is the lowest one step from not having a team at all. Personally I will not watch a team which includes somebody elses reserves, players who really dont want to be there. So maybe I am not a true supported after all.

The coaching and playing squad is looking really good now, it would be great if the club could come out and confirm there will be no dual reg. There is a big enough and good enough signed on squad for Keighley to be Keighley. Just needs a winning start and the club to get crowds up towards 2000 then we can think about signing one or two of Batley's best players on permanent deals next year if we want to . NO dual reg.
