Gateshead Stadium is closer - about 10/15 minutes in the car - but the Falcons ground doesn't take all that much longer to get to. I think Cougartime is referring to the time I turned up at Gateshead Stadium to give the Keighley young 'uns some support against the North East Academy, only to find that the game had been moved to some RU ground across the other side of Gateshead at very short notice - Ryton or Blaydon or somewhere like that. So I missed it.

There was also the time a few years ago when I turned up at Gateshead Stadium to watch Keighley play Thunder in an evening fixture. Except it wasn't an evening fixture. The game had been played in the afternoon and I'd missed it. D'oh!
Its a good fixture for us (obviously crowd wise it will be pathetic) but as far a prep game it will give the club a good eye on the opposition Gateshead have been well touted with Gene, The falcons input and the PNG players, I think it could be a very good move getting this fixture
