We are currently revamping all the players tunes for this season, want to have a good mixture of new, old and some really catchy tunes that identify players the minute we play them.

Now is your chance - the fans to give us your input, suggestions are welcome.

Here's a couple we are thinking of already:

Brendan Rawlins (rollo)limp bizkit keep rolling.
Matt the piranha parrata - piranhas -Tom hark.

Put your ideas on here and we will work through them.

I am one of the louder fans behind the sticks and we currently have a song for 2 players

Matt paratta has amarillo, following on from the line 'sweet Marie who waits for me' - mat para para paratta , mat para para paratta, mat para para paratta, scored a try for keigh-a-ley

Tadulala, has bananarama nananana goodbye (not sure of the title), tadulala, tadulala hey hey hey good try

The crowd seem to be getting into them and the drum beats along with us so I would like to hear them played over the tannoy at the appropriate part of the song

How about the players picking their own song, I'm led to believe that this was done in the past? (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Anyone else find the growl after a missed conversion a tad annoying, even my kids cringe!!

Nice to see (or hear) that the random trumpet tune was absent on Sunday!!!

Find the growl quite amusing, I like to think that children buy into the whole cougar atmosphere but maybe that's not the case?

The trumpet on the other hand, hate it, reminds me of another sport thats a lot less entertaining

Had to chuckle at Jones tune on Sunday, not sure he would agree, and what was with Duffy? The Simpsons wasn't it? Mindboggling!

The two songs on the cougar songsheet were both played on Sunday before the game started. We are working on the players songs being relevant to there name or nickname, hence Richard Jones on Sunday when he scored - Mrs Jones was played. Not all the songs that were selected before for the players are suitable and thats why they are all being reviewed and changed. The players don't get to choose what their song is, we are giving you the fans now the chance to come up with suggestions and will use the best ones.

Most of the songs back in the day were actually selected by doug hardaker the principle of Keighley college, he had a massive music collection. I still have all the original Keighley cougars player tunes from cougarmania all on their original tapes, CD's were not readily available at the time. I worked with doug for about 5 years after Mick o'neill left the club.

The players were given the chance to select their own tunes last season, this basically didn't work out very well lol.

I think it'll work well as long as it's not too clichéd.

i used to enjoy Nick Pinkney's Lilly the Pink tune coming on... I seem to remember someone telling me he hated it, dunno if it's true but made me chuckle even more.

I've thought of 6 so far... some a bit daft but i think it works when it's a bit cheeky and quirky

It's called "Killer Queen".

Great tune. I'm not sure how Jamaine would take to it though given the first line of the chorus is "She's a killer queeeeen!"

Likewise with the "Rollin'" Track by Limp Bizkit for Rawlins mentioned earlier in the thread. It would need to be a clean version of it to play it at CP.

As for Killer Queen for Jamaine , maybe not , just think of the pi** taking from the likes of Leigh & Fevs finest......

Actually thinking about it , how about in view of the Matt / Semi reworkings of songs , surely the answer for Killer is a redone version of 'Thriller' , I can just see Stealth ,Harry and Obeone in Sequins busting a few choreographed M J Moves behind the sticks !!

I suppose the issue with music is that one persons passion is anothers poison. What we might find amusing could just plain annoy some players.

I remember at the start of "Cougarmania" the coach of the time said he didn't like it and it distracted from the rugby!

We will make sure all players tunes are the clean versions - we will be using only small snippets perhaps 30 seconds max of a song. The problem we have and always will have is you can never make everyone happy with the song choice. We have to strike a happy medium and if the majority of fans like it then we are happy. We have alot of ideas for things to come in the future and the bugle charge is not one of them.

Keep your song suggestions coming in, we are in the studio tonight working on some of these, jermaine wray for example off the top of my head could have Killer by adamski, at the moment you are correct his song is killer queen. Gavin duffys simpsons theme tune is defo on the way out and is totally unsuitable and I don't know who picked that one lol.

Loving the 'Thriller' tune for Killer, need some wording to suit, can't quite see us in sequins but we may well be eating pies, drinking beer and possibley giving a wiggle

We worked in studio for over 3 hours last night and totally revamped the players tunes. We are confident that the fans will be happy with most of them, a couple will probably be changed prior to Sunday's game. Final chance to come up with suggestions, we have gone back to the old cougar mania format of the players songs are name or character related.

A few of your suggestions on this forum post have been used just like we promised.

Also annoying as hell if you happen to have that name.

As an alternative you could have Michael by Franz Ferdinand.
