Ladies who are between 60 and 65 (and are officially classified as 'Pensioners') still have to pay full price; but, if they have a 'Passport to Leisure' then they can pay the concessionary rate at the gate.

So what incentive is there for them to buy a Season Ticket for 2012 when they were are (apparently) able to gain access at half-price on the day?

OK, they will still attend games but the Club will not obtain the benefit that they had intended via the Season Ticket offer.

I would imagine that any male/female supporters who live in Keighley and/or the BDMC area and are 'Passport to Leisure' holders are in a similar position.

Just a thought, and I might be incorrect in my belief, ..... but was the overall offer thought-through to the potential ultimate conclusion?

I've paid my £60 and will pay whatever the ultimate remaining cost will be, but other 'fans'(?), like 'Captain Cougar' still appear to be sitting on the sidelines.

As I understand it, the proceeds from all Season Ticket sales do not count against the overall 'salary cap' so the more Season Tickets we sell, the BETTER FOR the CLUB and THE SUPPORTERS who buy them. So, can anyone explain why so few Season Tickets have been sold when there are, apparently SO MANY, so-called, SUPPORTERS posting messages on this forum?

It's excellent news that we have signed Sam Obst and I hope that this signing and the extra time persuades more supporters to buy season tickets.

I still think, 666, that there will be supporters that don't buy season tickets for a variety of reasons. I'm sure we could put a list together of the reasons why people don't buy or haven't bought season tickets. I don't think that's very constructive at this stage. My focus now is to be positive by continuing to spread the word through my friends as much as possible to praise the efforts of the club in the signings they've made and the strength of the squad we will have in the new season.

I'm not sure this RLFANS forum accounts for anywhere near the full fan base or is even representative of it. That said fans are at liberty not to buy season tickets if it's not right for them. But for the record I bought my season ticket within a week or two of them going on sale. Only the second time I have bought a season ticket in the 17 years following them.

Not everyone can make it to every single game so how the price band eventually ends up may not make it good value to buy one. It doesn't make anyone less of a fan for not doing so.

Your point regarding spreading the word with season tickets brings up an interesting point. A colleague of mine mentioned that he'd only heard about the season ticket deal through me. I do wish the club would get out to the public and help itself. When Br*dford tried their similar season ticket deal last year they managed to get a stand at Bingley Music Live with 14000 people a day walking past it.

I went to put £20 on but it kept changing the figure to £10. So I put £10 on and the odds were the same after so tried to put another £10 but it wouldn't have it.

I still think 33/1 is still on the high side..

I wonder if this will be put on the Clubs website........
