On the Halifax forum they suggest it may be £10 or so for adults on Boxing Day. That seems more reasonable. Must be good mince pies at that price?!

Jones is not good enough to be leading a Top Championship team around and Fax struggled in the halves and Forward areas last year. Cherryholme is a plodder. Both average Championship players. Certainly not a loss for Fax and many Fax fans are glad they and others are gone.

Maybe they just don't fit into the Fax way of playing. JD has obviously seen something worthwhile in them, and at Keighley, in JD we trust!

I think Danny Jones struggled because he was never given a regular shot at playing scrum-half for Fax. As for Cherryholme, he's maybe not the kind of prop that will make masses of yards, break tackles and offload regularly. He seems to get through a hell of lot of work defensively which doesn't always get noticed.

If halifax are expecting fans whether it be home or away to be paying £15 just to get in I expect there will not be the amount of fans as they hoped for.

As someone else mentioned its too much to expect to pay at what is after all championship and not super league. Too much at best of times let alone the fact times are financially hard for folks at moment.

Just to confirm £10 adults and £5 juniors, the other price is for pre match nibbles and access to the dining suite for after matchinterviews with players and coach etc.

When they come to Cougar Park, we can put 7.50 onto the price to get in the bar and throw a box of Mr Kiplings in. They will feel at home.

I came on to give you correct prices for entry tomorrow and some on here snipe, HRLFC offer a product at a price and people either pay it or not, Fax have also had top 3 average crowds for the championship for the last 3 years and havnt been in administration in the last 5 years, they are clearly doing something right.

£10 for a pre season game is good value. Another 70% on top for the rest of it just seems difficult to comprehend.

It's only 10 quid into the stand and that's all that counts. If others want to pay more to a warm room and food let them.

Obst, Tadulala, Shickell, Wray, Jones, Cherryholme all didn't play.

We lost March, Duffy, Barnett and Simpson to injury during the game.

That said in the second half we got a lesson. No need to worry too much though, we'll be a far better side come the start of the season.

We were taught a valuable lesson by one of the two best sides in the division. We are a different side from last year and still have to gel, which can only be done through game time together. Our defensive structure was very poor and our passing in attack was not crisp enough, but at least it's blown the xmas cobwebs out and shown us we have to up our game.

It will make the games against York and Batley very interesting.

Clough needs to be taught a lesson in how to play the game. He started just where he left-off when playing against us for Workington. If JD plays him in cometitive games then he'll lose us more games than he'll win for us. If he had played as well as he was shouting today then he'd be a worlbeater. Pity that his fist and niggling approach hasn't been tamed!

Whilst Cougars were without Obst, Tadalulu, Shick, Danny Jones, Wray, Sagar, Cherryholme to name a few, I would have expected better from the team we put out.

There was a try saving moment of brilliance from Rolo.
Corky is going to be a handfull.
James H put in a good game.

Not sure after watching that if I ever want to see Clough in a Cougars shirt again.
He will cost us games by giving away penalities none stop.
Also Jonny Simpson. Is he fit enough?
Danny Lawton, normally the players who skip and kick their legs together prior to running are quick like Gav or Worrency. You are not. You need to focus on tackling. Your tackling today made Jonny Presley look good.

With Semi and Normington looking for Centre positions I would have expected Lawton to play today like it did matter.

I know we will be stonger when we play Fax again, but you can be sure they will also. They have injuries in their forwards who will return.
