Very ddisappointing the club announce to some fans who the potential player is but not to others. Bit S**t really what gives some fans right to know before others.

No wonder our fans get p***ed off and stop coming

The club went out of their way to make directors, coach, fitness coach and other staff available to answer face to face question and you feel disappointed????

Maybe the club were disappointed that more fans did not turn up to hear what they had to say!!!

The only thing that isn't stated is the name of the player in question and thats because the club asked that no names be mentioned beyond that room due to the stage that negotiations were at. In hindsight it may have been better had they said nothing, but I think they wanted to give the fans that had bothered to turn up some hope that they were not just sitting on their thumbs over the situation.

I don't necessarily agree with all our directors say, but they cannot be accused of not making themselves available for fans questions.

Now that Rach is involved with the website again we also appear to be getting regular updates on what is going on.

i think it is good that the club tell them, but still think people should be told. I don't live in Keighley so couldn't make it but go to every game home and away missed one last season leigh at home and like to know what players we are after etc.

Really disappointed that despite having invited supporters to meetings with the directors, updated web site with loads of info that somone could moan. The meeting was very informative about what was going on in the club and has been relayed back on the website next day. Perhaps you would like to give your details to the club (starting a database for contacts) and they will text you up to date info as it occurs??
They are also on facebook and apparently twitter.

No matter what date the club pick (and plenty of notice was given) there will always be someone who wants to come but can't because of other commitments.

Maybe it would be better for people to suggest alternate methods of communication first rather than just having a go. The current board do seem to genuinely want to get fans opinions which is a step up from where we have been before.

It has to be said it was a better turnout than any that I've been to before.

I think it's great that we have a board and coach that are so willing to engage with the fans. They're willing to listen, they implement some of our ideas. How many other clubs have that?

I know it's not easy for everyone (I myself didn't get home until 10:20 after the meeting and had to be up less than 4 1/2 hours later to get in to work) but I doubt it was 5% of all fans that turned up last night.

I'm not saying that 95% of Keighley fans can't be bothered to make the effort, people work, have parental responsibilities etc, but surely some of them can at least show they care about the club and turn up? It seemed to an awful lot of the same familiar faces turned up on Tuesday, we need more folk there, with new ideas to help make the club even better.

I couldn't go to the meeting due to work, but I'm happy to help try and raise the profile of the club by giving a bit of my spare time up for postering or whatever.
I wasn't having a moan, I said I'm sure Barry knows his job.
I also realise that supporters have many other things in their lives which also take up their spare time and money, and not everyone can devote the same amount of time, cash, and energy to the Cougar cause as some. I don't think that makes them less of a supporter, though. We're all entitled to an opinion!

Why should anyone, have to explain why they couldn't go to the meeting.
Its up to people if they go or not.

Thats why i made the comment.

If posters feel the need to explain why they didn't go to a particular event, then I suppose thats up to them. I don't think anyone has asked them to justify themselves - it's free will at the end of the day.

But its a bit odd when someone does not go to an event specially laid on to provide communication then slags the club off for not communicating
