Surely a touch line ban is more suitable. I'm not aware of our other coaching staff, but when March is playing they must surely take the lead on interchanges and other tactics. Also players such as handforth will have a pre determined game plan for kicks etc, there's only one way to take out this frustration and it's on the pitch. See everyone tomorrow for another win.

I'm sure there are ways and means for Marchy to manoeuvre himself into a position whereby he can see the Cougar Park action without actually being inside the stadium.

I think his punishment is draconian and unprecedented. The RFL doesn't seem to like our club very much.

Think we should have a very big banner especially in front of the cameras at Widnes - 'FREE PAUL MARCH'.

the ref & touch judges for the Leigh game were a complete joke, they made the 3 stooges look like mensa candidates. Leatherbarrow was the ref & he ultimately cost us the game with his inane/insane take on the rules of the game (not the 1st time a Leatherbarrow as contributed to our downfall playing for & against us). Finally this trio were so inept you would not trust them to know their a**e from their elbow & if it's down to them well RL (let alone Keighley) is doomed.

Rugby League .... it's a strange game! What's next ... let the dulls have their six points back!

In the past but thought I'd ponder this one till after todays game v
Swinton.
I don't think it is going to effect the Cougars as much as people think ,
We have a good onfield General in Handforth guiding the game
Along and good off field assistants with Mitchell etc etc.
That was proved today alone by the way the Cougars dug in
Against a much improved Swinton.

No one knows what was said to the ref after the Leigh match and we
Will have to give Marchy the benifit of the doubt.
Also , I and one or two other supporters I chatted to believe there is a
Bigger force at work here and I personally think there is
more to all this than at first glance , I think the RFL have hidden
Agendas. For them to hand out a 2 month stadium ban stnks and
It does not take much working out what is going on, especially the
fact that the GMB union has got behind him too.

Did you see March then? He was indeed next to the petrol station via radio. Totally ridiculous RFL 'restraining order'. You do have to wonder if they can impose such a rule legally, I'm no expert in employment law or human rights but surely banning someone to the fence outside is bonkers. I think the GMB will get a negotiation, allow him in the stand. It was comical, marchy peering over the fence!

If the appeal accepts somebody else said what Marchy is alleged to have said, then sentence should be withdrawn. If found that he said it, ban should be changed to a touchline ban (& with no verbal contact with officials). & hopefully one month, not two.

I would just like to inform those who believe Marchy had a radio, he didn't. It's in the terms of the ban. We argued the fact the gantry was on private land but the RFL ruled as it was built for our purpose of use he would not be allowed to use that vantage point.

Just to show how pathetic the ban was Marchy was sat waiting on Royd Ings Avenue yesterday after the game like a naughty schoolboy to be allowed into the stadium. Totally stupid, totally typical. How about if Marchy goes out of the ground and comes back as his twin brother!

The funniest chant from some wag in the crowd was a pantomime "he's behind you!" when his head appeared over the fence.



On a more serious note I would imagine that the RFL operating rules will say that "their decision is final" so unless his human rights have been breached or employment law it may be difficult. I'm not sure what happens under appeal and if it's done by an independent panel.

I would have thought that the RFL have no jurisdiction whatsoever outside an RL stadium.

It was suggested that we should all go to the televised Widnes game wearing Marchy face masks!!!
