Think this beauty of a game deserves a seperate thread as its a cmpletly different game than the last couple of years.

I downloaded mine at midnight andit's awesome!!! Had the usuall problem with Steam (couldent download it for over a hour) you need to have the the new Direct x installed and all the new windows updates, you also have to do something with the cache which can be found in the games properties. Pain in the ar*e!!!

However the game itself is fantastic imo, still getting to grips with it.

Received the DVD yesterday but couldn't register it because the activation code said it wouldn't work until 12 midnight.

From playing the demo a couple of weeks ago it's a more polished game with some great new features.

Dropped through my letterbox yesterday, so will take a look at it over the weekend.

How long before the SI forums are overwhelmed with bug reports?

I'm suprised they're not already.

Just wrestling with steam at the moment from my DVD copy. Says 4 minutes until the game launches, the problem is the seconds are taking minutes to expire. Friggin Steam!!

First game underway. Started unemployed as usual and have landed the Chester city job so need to perform miracles to stay in the league. Lost the first game 2-1 after bossing it. Anyone found any lower league loanees?

Looks very good, the usual time to get used to new features/appearance but it'll be as addictive as ever! LOVE the new tactics creator.

Solid start made with Leeds. Brought in Nemeth the old Boro striker. Beckford scored 7 in the first 4 games. I'm jumping up from 08 here as well so really struggling with the interface at the moment, and feel like I'm getting a little too much help from my staff. Also the 3D match engine is a complete no-go for me, the 2d traditional one is running jerkily enough as it is!

My mate's just bought this, I'm currently installing it logged in on his steam; will it work for us both?

Furthermore, will I be able to get this game up as one of my games on my Steam, despite downloading it on another user?

What are the specification requirements like for FM 10?

I bought the 09 version but ended up having problems and it wouldn't install because my laptop wasn't good enough. I've got a new laptop (Sony Vaio NS10) which is running Vista but i'm not sure exactly whether i'll meet the spec limits. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas before i go out and buy the game.

The game is running much faster on my computer than FM09 did, it's definitely going to help improve it's addictiveness again.

Both doing well.

Baxter is knocking in a few for me at Leeds.

Downloaded from disk, but seems to take a while playing the games, so I just go on holiday for the games. Play my tactics and team selection though etc. In a few week, Will probably download via steam and check for updates and then I cana ctually play the game without much freezing.

I've done 2 seasons with Leeds.
year 1 - 2nd in the league, got to the final of the Johnstons paint, bought Lauren. (my job was insecure as I only managed 2nd).

year 2 - 1st in Championship. Bought Tomkins and Benjani, Opare (Real madrid right back) and a few others. Spent 5million in transfers. Also, a new chairman has replaced Master Bates. No changes to the funding though.


Year 3 - Done my signings for this season, and spent 20+ million. Concentrated on young hot prospect youth (one or two from Turkey and Norway) so if/when I go down, and then bounce straight back up, my team will have matured and I will then be able to hopefully finish in mid table.
Also, brought in top quality scouts and coaches along with a new assistant manager.

Im getting a new laptop for christmas, its an emachine e625. Can anyone tell me if this laptop has all the right things to play fm 10? as i have no idea what im looking for.

Im sill on the 08 xbox version.

So can you buy the disk (pc version) and just put it in and play? I have the 07 one at the minute and only have to put the disk in my laptop and hey presto. All this talk of downloading and streams sounds just confuses an non IT whizz kid like myself.
