| i cant believe how much snow fairy seems to have developed over the winter, as she didn't show a great deal last year on the whole. thats the thing more so with fillies though isnt it, you never know how well they'll train on - some not at all.

| Quote ="Carneys Pint"One bet today over in Ireland at Tipperary. The first graded hurdle race of the season over there is run and I fancy one at a big enough price:
[u16:00 Tipperary (Grimes Hurdle)[/u
Kotkidy - Ex-French trained 4yo hurdler for Henry De Bromhead. He fell on his Irish debut having built up a healthy advantage before being headed and falling heavily at the penultimate hurdle, he has a similar profile to other ex-French now Irish trained hurdlers in Arvika Ligeonniere, Son Amix and Sweet My Lord - who also flopped on their Irish debuts having built up healthy leads/raced prominently before making amends on their next starts. Kotkidy's next start came at Killarney in May over fences when he proved to be 3 lengths too good for the useful hurdler Flag of Honour (Graded placed) when scoring very easily (IMO). He'll appreciate the better ground today and during his racing career in France (4 starts over hurdles, 1 win, 2 2nds and a 3rd) he beat a number of decent horses - most notably President Jose (G3 placed and beaten just over 5 lengths in a Grade 1), Soleil De Sivola (G3 winner over fences), Saint Macaire (G2 winner over fences) and St Nicholas D'Acy (G1 placed over hurdles). I think he'll go very well at a big price.
Advice: Kotkidy 2pts Win, 1pt Place @ 16/1 (Bet365) '"
Thank fully, whilst on holiday the dodgy bookie wasn't taking bets on Tipp!

| Workforce is the best of the lot by quite a long way.... Harbinger isn't in his the Derby winners league, Harbinger is also so short i'm laying him too.
Big bet on Workforce to win, and I expect to see him win comfortably on the way to the arc'.

| Each-Way bet on Daryakana at a big price - gets her preferred conditions for the first time this season ie. right-handed, 12f and a fast pace.

| Naas 7.00
Bewitched 7/1 E/W
Stepped up its form from last year winning first time out and then beating Rainfall who has since won a Group 3 and finished 3rd to Music Show in a Group 1 didn't fire running at 7f last time so now dropped down to 6f again, came 3rd at Ayr over 5f from a wide draw from that race has come a couple of Group 3 winners and placed horses.
Naas 8.00
Fencing Master @ 1.95 and at evens
Well clear of what these have done so far on form and even its 6th last time out has seen Critical Moment and Wigmore Hall who finished in front come out and win again an in behind it Fair Trade came 2nd to Critical Moment and Miss Starlight won a Group 3 in Germany.

Probably safe to say after that Fencing Master isn't worth another chance. 1/3
Nice win for Bewitched though.
Haven't had a bet for weeks now. Workforce may be the one. He didn't win a great Derby, and Harbinger has done everything asked of him in blistering fashion this year, but Workforce is the apple of Sir Michael's eye and Harbinger could struggle to give him nearly a stone.
Although, as I've already said, I wouldn't be surprised if Harbinger wins!

Thats why I waiting for the day to bet.

Entered in two races for Saturday. It'll probably open up at even money and go off 16/1 this time.

| Another good price winner
They all what Famous Name with Steinbeck 2/1 now
Because of age and winner of Group races Famous Name has to give a stone in weight which is massive
They did highly rate Steinbeck at home Famous Name is going to have to do better then its last run when just beating a 100 rated horse and giving it 3lbs

| Wigan (-icon_cool.gif to beat Hull got to be a lump on bet.
....And no I'm not a bitter twisted Rovers fan , I always back Hull if I think they are good value but drafting in Burnett, Nicklas, Kent and Green into their depleted ranks, must make that a value bet.
Squad: Berrigan, Briscoe, Burnett, Cusack, Dowes, Green, Hall, Horne, Houghton, Kent, Lauaki, Manu, Moa, Nicklas, Radford, Tansey, Turner, Washbrook, Yeaman

| Done Daryakana to win W/O the big two @ 7/2
Skybet still have Dar Re Mi in the market done these bets on PP before and rule 4 hasn't counted because its special bet.
If it stays that price that your getting 7/2 for it to beat Cape Blanco and Youmzain unless Confront improves a hell of alot.

You bitter bast...
It's the bet of the weekend for me. I rarely back against my own side (the only other time this season was when we played Warrington who were -2 and we had half of our squad out injured) but it seems too good to turn down. I just can't see how we're going to cope with Wigan. Even if we had a fully fit squad it would have been a hard one to win but with the key trio of Long, Fitz and the Ogre missing again it's going to be very tough, along with Tickle, Whiting and Calderwood also out too.

| Only 6 now in tomorrows King George, still, suppose its better than the three or four that turned up for last years International Stakes.
I can't wait to go and pick up my Racing Post on a cold, dreary winter morning able to look forward to seeing the top NH horses. Flat racing is too much about 'racing politics' and money.
Bit of caution for me with Workforce....
Workforce is far from the banker people are suggesting. He may win handsomely, but I'd rather see what Stoute has to say first. Look at the Oaks and Derby races, lots of horses will have came away from Epsom very sore after running on that ground, with many going on to run lacklustre races since - although Snow Fairy has already shown some are fine on it. But it was the sort of ground that could see a horse hit the wall next time out and possibly even taking months to recover from. Gallop reports are well and good, but we will only truly know if Workforce is A1 when Ryan Moore pulls the trigger tomorrow.
As much as I really do like Harbinger, stepping up to the top level for the first time and giving nearly a stone to Cape Blanco and Workforce may prove too much. Its a real poser of a race.
Interestingly... the forgotten horse...
Courtesy of Sporting Life website...
[iA decision on where St Nicholas Abbey returns to the track is expected in the next few weeks.
O'Brien reports last season's champion two-year-old to be well on the way to having his first race since finishing sixth in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket in May.
"St Nicholas Abbey is back cantering five days now and everything looks great with him," the Ballydoyle handler went on.
"He's doing very well and has had a good break. We won't run him until we see what happens in the next two to three weeks and then we will decide where he is going to start again."[/i
