| Jays put Johnny Mac on bereavement list so he can be with his dad, who has cancer and recently took a turn for the worse. Called up DeWayne Wise who made an instant impact pinch running for Adam Lind. Scored what turned out to be the winning run with a brilliantly timed run off a sac fly and an amazing slide to beat the play at the plate. If the name sounds familiar, it's because he made THAT catch in Buehrle's perfect game.
Huge test for the Jays tonight against Ubaldo Jimenez. Can the 'Bomb Squad' be the first team to really get to him? We've only scored 10 runs in the last 5 games but I can't see that lasting. We were also the first team to get to Greinke last year so who knows.

| Halladay smashed allover Yankee Stadium last night. We're on a roll although we have been playing poor teams to get there.

| As I pointed out at the beginning of the month, the Jays are struggling with a very tough schedule in June. Just hope that when we get some easier games, the players can pick it up. It's tough to get out of that losing habit when you've had it for a prolonged period. Maybe we can break the cycle at home to San Fran this weekend.
Oh yeah, guess who's going to be at the Jays-Yankees game at Yankee Stadium on 4th of July?
So excited. Never been to New York before and I can't think of a better place to be on 4th July.

| Just as the White Sox go on a winning run and close in on the Twins ESPNA has them on and up to now(7th inning) they are going to lose again while on this channel.Over the years they've got a terrible record on NASN/ESPNA.I don't have mlb tv so it's good to see them live but i know they'll probably lose when I see them on the schedule.I wish ESPNA would keep them off until they've got a big lead in the division

| As predicted it's been a really tough month and with New York & Boston coming up in the next 2 weeks, I'll be happy if we can make it to the All-Star break without dropping below 0.500. We have the opportunity to pick up some wins with a 4 game stand at Cleveland that will see Romero, Morrow and Marcum all pitching. I'm hoping for 3 from 4 but confidence levels must be down somewhat and using the BP is a bit like playing Russian Roulette right now.
Highlight of the season so far? Johnny Mac's home run on Fathers Day, 2 days after attending his own father's funeral. Not a dry eye in the house.

| Big series starts tonight for the Reds at home to the Phillies before ten games on the road at the Cubs, Mets and Phillies. Definitely not the easiest lead in to the All-Star break. I'd be very happy if we could go .500 between now although we have the potential to do some damage with the Cubs who aren't invincible at home. The Mets on the other hand are 28-12 at home. Tough.

| First time I've seen Doc and he's been hammering down the strikes but we've come from 3-0 down to lead 4-3 in the bottom of the eighth with three home runs shots. Come on!

| The Jays finally managed to win a tight game last night. It's been coming. The last two performances showed a lot of heart. They're certainly fighting for the win.
The last 3 games have been real see-saw games. Lots of lead changes, exciting plays, big homers, dodgy fielding. Very exciting stuff! On Sunday I saw the Jays throw out 3 Yankee players at home plate. I also witnessed an inside the park HR for the first time. Then last night Bautista gets and inside the parker, first for the Jays since 2003. It's not good for the old ticker but for anyone who says baseball is broring, I point you to the last 3 Jays games and say no freaking way!
Hoping to take another tonight against the Twins and build some momentum to sweep those pesky Red Sox. They've had a field day against us so far this season. They're missing a few players and just got swept by the Rays, but we seem to act as their bounce back opponents so not counting any chickens here.
BTW - Yankee Stadium is a nice looking ball park. I love that they had the calories of every food/drink item on display. Ball park food is ridiculously bad for you! The Yankee fans, whilst not overly friendly, were certainly not giving me any abuse, despite my rather vocal support of the opposition. I only got booed once

| Not been a good series against the Rays for us (again)
Waaaay too many injuries in our roster right now and only really Lester firing in pitching.
4.5 games out of 1st and 2.5 out of 2nd isn't too bad.
Next up a series against the Jays

Not sure why that upsets you. We've been your bitches so far this season and last week we were swept in a 4 game series by Cleveland!
That said, we are back home and have found our bats again. We hit 10 homers in the 3 games against the Twins. 5 of them came in last night's game - all 5 were solo shots though. A lot of that is to do with the Twins pitchers. They throw strikes. We like pitchers that throw strikes because we swing A LOT.
Really don't know what to expect given the way the last 2 series against Boston have gone. Doesn't seem to matter that they come to us off the back of a bad run. They usually manage to turn it around against us. I shall be going to the middle game - Morrow vs Lackey. I am loving Brandon Morrow right now and am feeling like we robbed Seattle blind on this deal.
Would be really nice to go into the All Star break above 0.500

| I hope you all voted Votto
Tough break last night as we dropped the first in extra innings at the Phillies. Three more to go. .500 off this road trip will do me. Talk of the Reds trading for Cliff Lee. Not sure who we'd let go in exchange but at $8m he's cheaper than Harang and Arroyo although Arroyo is excellent. With Volquez and Bailey to come back we might be strong in the second half if we can avoid injuries to our best position players.

| Looks like Lee will be a Yankee - possibly by the end of the day. He's supposed to be pitching for the Mariners against the Yankees tonight. Funny how these things work out.
I think more Canadians voted Votto this year than they did for Lind last year. Canadians are strange like that. We've been playing the Twins this week and had Morneau on Canadian TV asking us all to vote Votto!

| Blown three sitters against the Phillies this weekend. All three dropped in extra innings after notching up nine in a row in extra on the road. Threw away a huge lead in the bottom of the ninth on Friday and rookie Travis Wood (in his third start) carried a perfect game into the ninth against Halliday and we still ended up losing in extra innings. Need to take today's final game to avoid a four game sweep.

| The Blue Jays are officially the Red Sox rally team. Guaranteed to bust that losing streak.
Fortunately for me, I chose to go to the Saturday game and saw the only Jays victory of the series.
So the Rangers snatch Lee from the clutches of the Yankees, at least until the end of the season.
Wondering if the Jays will trade one of their over achievers. Favourites to be traded are Bautista, Buck, Downs and I've heard whispers about Marcum. Hope we don't trade Marcum, he's become somewhat of a leader for the young Jays starting rotation. That said, if we can get a good 3B then I'm happy to trade whomever.
One last thing. How on earth does the MLB home run leader not get an invite to the HR derby? It's fooking ridiculous. Jose BOMBtista will be sat on his backside watching a bunch of guys he's outhit all year perform in the Derby. The mind boggles.

| As for Bautista it's purely down to the team he plays for,if he was a Yankee or a Red Sox he'd probably be in the starting line up.

He has a .237 average lol. It's no good him participating if he's only going to hit a couple of balls during the derby
