| Flipper, when you have admitted that the penalty wouldn't have been given to Tottenham at the other end, why ?
When you answer this, you will see the reason why the game is corrupt. Maybe I am being harsh pinpointing Utd but that is where we have been so ridiculously hard treated in recent seasons.
Would the decision have been given to Tottenham if the game was at White Hart Lane ? I doubt that as well.

| Quote ="flipper"another blatant C&P
The following is an analysis of all premiership premiership and champions league champions league games played by Manchester United and Liverpool this season. The scouse are sure that united has bought the league by bribing the FA. Lets see if the facts support those accusations.'"
So if Liverpool fans are sure that Manchester United have bought the league by bribing the FA, then what the fook are you putting Champions League games in there for?
Manchester United have to have "bribed" UEFA, not the FA, you nugget!
Quote ="flipper"While not so significant in the league, penalties awarded to liverpool came in very handy in tight games against Mille and Atletico Madrid. It almost gave them the edge over Chelsea as well.'"
And this has got to do with the Premier League how? The same referees in the Champions League are not going to referee in the Premier League, so your argument is useless, especially as we are already out of the Champions League.
Quote ="flipper"Number of Penalties given against against Liverpool* : 2
1. ------ Premier League -------------
2. Ronaldo (pen) 23 , Man Utd 1-4 Liverpool
3. Mido (pen) 83, Wigan 1-1 Liverpool (A)
Of the two penalties against Liverpool only Mido's cost them points. '"
Means nothing.
Quote ="flipper"Number of Liverpool Players Sent Off : 0
That's right. Zero! Only Lucas has been sent off this season for Liverpool, and that was against Everton in the FA cup. 0 players sent off in the league and the champions League. Now, lets see how many players have been sent off when playing against Liverpool. '"
An improvement in Liverpool's discipline. Makes for good reading.
Quote ="flipper"Number of Opposing Players Sent Off: 9
1. Hull 1-3 Liverpool ( Sent off Folan)
2. Liverpool 5-0 Vila ( Sent off Friedel )
3. Utd 1-4 Liverpool ( send off Vidic )
4. Liverpool 5-0 Vila ( Sent off Friedel )
5. Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea (sent off Lampard )
6. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool ( sent off Adebayor )
7. Man City 2-3 Liverpool (sent off Zabelta )
8. Everton 0-2 Liverpool (sent off Cahill)
9. Liverpool 2-1 Utd ( sent off Vidic)
9 Players have been sent off playing against Liverpool. Of these 9, Liverpool won 8 Matches and drew 1 (playing away).'"
Hmmm, Friedel got sent off twice in the same game?? Fook me, who was reffing? Graham Poll?
However, what your stats fail to say above is that out of those 8 games, over half of them Liverpool were already leading when the sendings off occurred. Liverpool were only in a losing position once against Man City and twice drawing (Arsenal and Chelsea)
Vidic off - Liverpool were leading 2-1
Vidic off - Liverpool were leading 2-1
Cahill off - Liverpool were leading 2-0
Friedel off - Liverpool were leading 4-0
Folan off - Liverpool were leading 1-0
Zabeleta off - Liverpool were losing 2-1.
Adabayor off - Liverpool were drawing 1-1 (that was the final score)
Lampard off - Liverpool were drawing 0-0 (only scored both goals in last minute of game)
Quote ="flipper"Liverpool have played 33 games this season and over a quarter of the time it was against 10 men.'"
Is that a fact?
33 90 minute games equates to 2970 minutes.
A quarter of that equals 742.5 minutes. However, the total amount of minutes that Liverpool's opponents played with 10 men equates to a total of 177 minutes, which is considerably less than a quarter.
It actually works out at just under 6% of the time. Don't know where you got these figures from to base your argument on, but they are friggin' awful!

I said it was a C&P
so are you suggesting united have bribed both the FA and UEFA?
it was meant to serve to illustrate those that don't watch what is happening that amazingly United aren't the only team to have been awarded a penalty ever - given that RAWK seems to be awash with looneytunes who buy into the corruption line and they are finding their way onto 5 live now, where even Alan Greene gives them short shrift.
Had United had 10 or whatever it is) players sent off against them this season it would be another sign of the conspiracy...
I don't know if your stats are more or less reliable than the ones I c&p - thats not a dig , i don't know, and don't have time or the inclination to work it out BUT
Liverpool have had lots of players sent off against them.
Liverpool have scored lots of late goals (some even in injury time)
maybe it's because liverpool have become a decent team, and not some fit up - which is probably the case with some of the anti united based stats that get wheeled out - pens at old trafford, well most of the oppiosition don't attempt to venture out of their own half, so they are unlikely to get a pen.

The point I am making is that they shouldn't be happening anywhere. We were disgracefully denied a goal at OT 2/3 years ago. What has been done since to eradicate it ? Not a damn thing, concluding with another result taken off us at the same ground yesterday.
Quote ="GT"As for if it would've been given at the other end... Who knows? However, I've seen us concede questionable penalties at OT, so you never know.'"
A total refusal to answer the question. Typical Man Utd fan.
Quote ="GT"By the way, for all the whinging, it's not as if it was the most blatant poor decision on first viewing. It was only after seeing a close up replay that it became clear that Gomes had knocked the ball away. Judging from where the referee was stood and the angle he was viewing it from, I'd say you can't really blame him for giving it. And I would wager he'd have thought the same had it been at the other end.'"
Utter rubbish. The ball change direction at a right angle whilst Carrick was running forward. The fanciful idea that he would have given the same at the other end says it all. Why didn't he send Gomes off if he was sure it was a penalty when he was therefore the last man ?
Quote ="GT"But then again, I tend to look at these things rationally. A little like the dodgy decisions the referee gave at the Willows yesterday. You're not going to see me ranting and raving about them, though, even though we lost.'"
You are not looking at anything rationally. You are looking at it from the side of the Man Utd, the benefactor of so many ridiculous decisions. I don't mind a mistake, they happen, it just seems they happen extremely often to sides in the lower echelons of the league when they visit places like Old Trafford. It is about time it was stopped, it costs clubs too many points and too much money.

I'm not surprised you're appalled at the way Spurs just capitulated. It's not as if Spurs collapsing against Man U is a rare thing though is it. What was the excuse last time it happened.
Quote ="Stirlingshire Saint" However it was clearly obvious that had Utd got one then it was going to be difficult. They didn't look like getting one prior to the most corrupt decision I have seen at a football match.'"
Have a word with yourself, that yesterday wasn't even the worst decision to go against Spurs at OT, I remember a ball going 2 yards over the line not too many moons ago.
And as for not looking like scoring, since when has that had any effect on whether a team goes on to score. Christ, all the top teams have done that this season, "not looked like scoring" then gone on to do that. It's football, not the pools panel.
Quote ="Stirlingshire Saint"Webb yesterday effectively gave Utd the win and the title by an appalling decision.'"
No he didn't. He may have got them a goal or should I say a chance for them to score a goal, but it was down to both teams what happened after that.
Quote ="Stirlingshire Saint"I honestly believe it smells of corruption it was that bad. '"
Again, get a bloody grip.
Quote ="Stirlingshire Saint"Gomes clearly knocked the ball away, the ball changed direction for heavens sake. It wasn't a tough call to make, it was obvious. '"
It happens, week in, week out. Some you win, some you lose. Jesus, you'd think you were the only team to have ever been wronged by a referee.
Quote ="Stirlingshire Saint"Just appalled at that, how on earth can anybody take this game seriously when decisions like that are made ? '"
Quite easily I would imagine if you are mature and rational about it.
Quote ="Stirlingshire Saint" I turned the game off as soon as the penalty went in because it was clear what was coming afterwards, Webb should be made to make a public apology to Tottenham, Liverpool and the rest of the Premier League. Scandalous it was.'"
And when you say you turned the game off after the penno went in, I don't believe you. I think you should apologise to the rest of the forum for blatant lying

It's up to people what they want to post, it's their opinion, no-one else has to agree with it.
And anyway, Alan Green is a tvvat, so that argument won't wash with me.

Well, since I picked holes in this "info" that you cut and pasted, then I guess mine would be more reliable.
And since you say you don't have the inclination to work things out just shows to me that you like throwing statements in there without having the facts to back it up. If that is wrong, the fair enough, but that's what it sounds like from my side of things.
As for this sendings off = late goals thing, I'll work it out when I get back from the Rugby.

I am looking at it rationally. Like I've said, decisons go against Manchester United as well as for them. You, as a Spurs fan, cannot see that and are looking at the matter purely based on incidents that have gone against you.
You could argue the decision yesterday will cost Liverpool more than it's cost Spurs, due to the title race. And yet even the Liverpool fans on here are looking at the incident with more sense than you are.
Again, we lost out on an FA Cup Final place due to a worse penalty decision. Do you see any of us wetting ourselves over it?

Glad to see you've got that much pride in your own city and the clubs who represent it. Maybe if more of you got behind your clubs' foremost sporting side (yes, they are, seeing as they're playing in the most high profile sporting league in the country, if not Europe and the world) then they could be more successful and bring in large benefits to Hull as a whole.
Mind you, I won't hold my breath.
