I'm still playing the 08 version for the Xbox. Mainly because the controls for that one are lot more fiddly so I don't really spend as much time on it and still have some sort of social life.

If its like previous versions then you use the database editor which should come with the game. This lets you edit more or less anything such as teams, leagues, club finances, players etc. Only thing to remember is you have to start a new game for the changes to take effect.

You also have to make sure that all the leagues have the correct number of teams so when you put them into the EPL you have to move two teams into the championship and two teams from the championship into league one and so on.

IIRC, there's a brand new league editor this year that means you can make more leagues playable and other things. Eg. someone has made the english leagues down to 10 levels, not 7.

Im in 2012-2013 with Everton on FM10 currently, 3rd in the table with 4 games to go. 3 of them though are Man City, Liverpool & Arsenal. x_x

Dig around on fm-base.co.uk and sortitoutsi.net - you'll probably find a ready made custom league structure you can download for FM07.

Well got Bradford into the Championship. Still Pre-season, but my wonderful chairman has decided it would be a fun idea to sell 2 of my best players for pennies. Really thought that crap had been cut out from last year. We have plenty of money in the bank and i've listed these guys as not for sale. Yet a really crap offer has been accepted

1st after 9 games of the 2013-2014 season now, sold Vukcevic and brought in Wesley Sneijder, ripping teams apart currently. Beat Tottenham & Zenit 4-0, QPR 5-2, Villa 3-0, Man City 3-0.

Very annoyed at losing 1-0 to Boro though.

I'm half-way through my second season...was PL and CL runners up in my first season and i'm top at the minute in January 2008. Hopefully win the league and maybe a CL or FA cup final appearance.

Coutinho is doing nicely with Inter, plays most of the time for them, Tafer is at Chelsea (on loan to Championship Fulham) so obviously not really broken through yet, Muniesa is having an average career at Celtic now.

Got Leeds to the championship and after 8 games I am 15th. I don't know if it is a glitch but no matter what i do every away game i draw 1-1!

Can't remember the last time I started a game in any version of CM/FM with a team from the top division of their country.

Love going overseas as well as to smaller clubs in Europe or South America.

Is it worth buying 2010 simply for the new squads, or is it a lot better than 09?

I wouldn't say a lot better but certainly improved. The new interface once you get used to it is imo a lot easier to navigate around. Transfers have been improved as you normally (besides kaka, ronaldo etc) can buy players for a more realistic price. Also the touchline calls are useful too! Although the press confrences seem to have the same questions as the last which is bloody annoying, so now i just let the assistant deal with them.

Am I the only one who feels the large database is smaller than it used to be?

If so, when you put in that the club will be moving stadiums on whatever date and so on, where do you edit the capacity of the new stadium?

I never knew that when you start a game, you can get Jadson on an approach to sign almost straight away, and he arrived in January. Fantastic free signing for anyone who plays attacking midfielders centrally.
