I'm sure I heard on TV that it was gastritis. Burnout - more like he's been riding his wife more often than the bike.

It's been widely reported as gastritis and anaemia. Casey however seemed to be unimpressed with the doctors over in the US and has been questioning that diagnosis since he got back from California.

The "burnout" claim came from comments to GPWeek on Sunday. He didn't use the word itself but it was a bloody strong hint:

Three of us are going tomorrow and camping for the weekend. I've only started watching motogp this year and have plenty to learn about it but it's grabbed my interest far more than any other motor sport.

OK, well done Casey Stoner for completely f**king up your weekend and shafting your position in the title race.

Yeah, they spoke to him in the garage afterwards (might have even been the red button extra coverage) and he was just in the middle of another sulk. The way he goes on it's like he actually believes that all the world's against him and that's why he doesn't win every race. He said that Rossi was really lucky because he didn't wreck the bike when he came off and everything always goes Rossi's way, he never has bad luck. Yeah, he's fluked 100 race wins, 8 world titles, and more podium finishes than anyone in history.
