I don't know whether the Sunderland goal should've stood or not. I'd lean towards it probably not.

It'd also be interesting to see how long the beachball had been on the field as well. If the Liverpool 'keeper and defenders had seen it in plenty of time and decided to just leave it there then they don't deserve to get an advantage because a goalbound shot hit it. But if the ball had been put in play as Sunderland were attacking and they were too busy defending then it's harsh for them to conceed in such a fashion. According to the BBC though, the ball was from the Liverpool supporters so it's good that their own supporters cost them.
