| I wonder if Shay Given ever gets embarrassed at commentators heralding his "great save" whenever he stops a shot or header that's straight at him?

| What i don't get when people go on about 'the fergie stopwatch' is that the other team also have the added time to score and win a match.
What happens after 90 mins ? do the away team stop playing and just let Utd pepper the goal ?
Im sure if the bitters had scored in the 95th minute they wouldn't be crying about it.

Injury time at Old Trafford. The scores are level. As an away manager, do you try and keep that excellent away point, or do you push for the win?
Is Alex Ferguson trying to keep the 1 point, or is he pushing for the win?

It's not the away teams lack of ambition that is the issue. The issue is the perception that Fergie's continual beration of referees over injury time has put pressure on refs to be generous in giving you extra time to net a winner.

I don't disagree. If Richards wasn't stood around like a mannequin at the time of the winning goal, we would have got a point.

The paranoia surrounding the whole Munich thing is so very....what can I say...scouse like. It's very much, "I am a victim", "The world hates me/us" and "Everybody wants to poke fun at us about Munich". Bellamy celebrates like that whenever he scores.

Not similar at all. For a start, Cantona left the field of play. And Cantona wasn't a coward? He gave someone, who was sitting down, a karate kick with his football boots on. Bellamy, slapped teh player. He didn't punch him.

A scouser? The keys to Sale or Urmston or Partington?

When the "fan" (used in the loosest possible way) had his hands restrained. Poor show from Ram Man.

Did the fan Clough hit have his hands restrained? And contrary to that story, yes they did. So much show that the fan was invited to the training ground by Clough by way of an apology. He also allowed the fan to kiss him on the cheek if memory serves!

Well he got fined and received a touchline ban, so obviously not everyone was impressed.
The fact that Bellamy walked 10 yards to go get involved then hit him while he was restrained makes it a bit different anyway, and has overshadowed a couple of very good goals that he scored.
The fan will rightly get a life ban, and Bellamy will, rightly, be banned too.

I am not African, so I did not make my viewpoint from the perspective of a victim.
I know some lovely places in East Enfield. I would guarantee that you would you would not walk up to a local in that area and call him 'boy' Referring to an African man as a 'boy' is an insult. They didn't give slaves names, that is why they were referred to as 'boy'. We had this debate last week, mate.

When a player normally goes on to the pitch, everyone is up in arms shouting "HE COULD HAVE HAD A KNIFE!". A City player pushes the scrote and then Ferdinand grabs Bellamy by the throat (don't worry Rio, you can try being the faux hero but I know a lot of United fans will always think of you as a mercenary and an idiot). Yet Bellamy is regarded as the villain . By the letter of the law, Ferdinand should have been sent-off. He should receive a ban for violent conduct, but so should Evra for his headbut at Spurs last week.
