I am surprised too and as a result am tipping us to finish 3rd this season, that said the squad does still look good and if Berba does better and Valencia and Owen play well then who knows. Also he has the money to spend in January should he need to and if not then I would imagine the big investment will come next summer when VDS, Scholes and Neville could all retire and possibly Giggs too. There is also Tosic and Llaaic to come in this season and neither played a part last year.
